Chessington World of Adventures is celebrating to mark the 25th birthday of Julia Donaldson’s beloved classic, The Gruffalo. Starting this Saturday, 6th July, the London theme park will unveil a new Gruffalo and Friends Meet and Greet, inviting children and their families into a magical, themed space inspired by the deep, dark wood. This enchanting experience will be available throughout summer where guests can meet the much-loved Gruffalo characters and capture special moments with the fearsome yet adorable creature.
And the fun doesn’t stop there! Celebrations for this milestone birthday are already underway as fans of the enchanting tale can enjoy a gruffabulous adventure at the Gruffalo Summer Celebration, a pre-schooler event running mid-week until 19 July. Children can join the Gruffalo’s Activity Trail to unlock the secret password and discover over 1,000 animals of all shapes and sizes in the zoo.
Guests can also join Mouse on a magical riverboat journey through the deep, dark wood with the Gruffalo River Ride Adventure, where the world of the Gruffalo unfolds with exciting storytelling to make sure that fans of the story feel right at home.
The adventures can continue into the night with a stay in the Gruffalo-themed hotel room at the Azteca & Safari Hotel, featuring hidden Gruffalo gifts for the little ones. Visitors can also indulge in delicious treats at the Gruffalo Bites food outlet or find the perfect souvenir at the Gruffalo Gift Shop.
