Acquisition brings an established set of C-level clients and a combined 50 years of automotive strategic experience to Poppins

Poppins, the agency that operates at the intersection of pioneering technology and creativity, has today announced the acquisition of award winning specialist automotive and change management agency Y2Change. The acquisition will see Y2Change founders Stuart and Nikki Hodge take on new roles at Poppins as Senior Vice President of Automotive and Vice President of Automotive, respectively, as the agency bolsters its strategic capabilities.

BMW Motorrad, Lotus and RockarTech, amongst many others, will now be part of the Poppins client portfolio, spearheaded by Stuart and Nikki. Maani Safa, CEO and Founder of Poppins said of the acquisition: “We are delighted to have Stuart and Nikki join the Poppins family and head up our automotive strategic division. Their experience in strategic development for brands is unparalleled. Poppins is now in a strong position to expand our strategic offering not just for our automotive clients, but across the board and provide a truly end-to-end proposition, dedicated to the end customer and underpinned by outstanding technical, digital and creative talent.”

Nikki Hodge, Vice President Automotive at Poppins, said: “Business is all about the people you work with. In Maani, Gabby and the Poppins team we were overwhelmed not just by their passion and ambition, but their laser focus on delivering for the customer. We share the same values and that’s why being part of Poppins was an easy decision to make. We’re proud of the work that Y2Change has achieved in the automotive sector, but we’re now excited to scale it up and apply it across the agency and in any industry.”

Stuart Hodge, Senior Vice President Automotive at Poppins, said: “The automotive landscape in the UK is changing — from the transition to electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles, to the influx of overseas brands that will transform the market. It will require a team with the vision and scale to offer a holistic view of the industry, to deliver world-class experiences for customers. We know what change needs to look like and with Poppins, we will make it happen.”

Poppins’ purpose is to help brands define tomorrow. Operating at the intersection of technology and creativity, the agency is redefining standards when it comes to building remarkable, digital experiences and brands. Poppins works with brands across the gamut from globally recognised luxury retailers and high-end automotive brands to startups and forward-thinking early-stage companies.
