The facility will offer highly specialised and individualised care to diagnose and promote recovery from the most critical and complex surgical and medical conditions.

Memorial Houston Medical (MhM), a world-class post-surgical and rehabilitation provider with a reputation for outstanding patient-first care, opens its second site globally in London. With a site already established in Houston, Texas in the United States, the team at MhM London will demonstrate the same values: dedication to the attentiveness of the well-being of the whole person – the emotional and physical.

The hospital, situated on Fulham Road in South Kensington, joins a concentration of historic medical institutions, including The Lister Hospital, The Cromwell, Royal Brompton, and The Royal Marsden.

The hospital has capacity for six inpatients at a time and hosts an in-house GP surgery with rehabilitation treatment rooms, including an exercise area.

MhM will offer an unparalleled level of service and design, focusing on enhancing the inpatient and rehabilitation experience with expertise and medical excellence in cancer care, complex wound management, orthopaedic recovery, diabetic care, inpatient pulmonary care, cosmetic surgery, and long-term acute care.

MhM physicians, which include Chief Medical Officer Dr. Maziar Mireskandari and Medical Consultant Mona Ghazal, will provide highly individualised and specialised care. An array of therapies – from inpatient care and cosmetic procedures to counselling services – will be offered at MhM to foster emotional well-being and aid recovery.

The first MhM clinic offers a new vision for medical care, health and well-being through its design, hospitality, and environment to support physical and emotional healing in a homelike setting. MhM focuses on prehabilitation and postoperative care as core to treatment. This approach is intentionally reflected in the environment itself, which has been constructed to accelerate recovery through neuroaesthetics, blending top-tier medical care with cutting-edge design and a personalised approach to health and recovery.

Danny Shebaclo, UK Business Development Lead for MhM, said, “We are proud to have designed MhM’s new London hospital with dignity in mind, from the aesthetics to the treatment programmes. Our mission is to strive for medical excellence by providing the highest quality of medical care in a compassionate and welcoming environment. People should not lower their expectations – from aesthetics to treatment – because they are in a hospital environment; when they are at their most vulnerable, they should, in fact, expect more. That is why we have elevated every detail of the patient experience, from prehabilitation to postoperative care and rehabilitation.

“We look forward to introducing our expertise in prehabilitation and rehabilitation and wholly committing to our patients by ensuring they receive the best treatment possible while equally prioritising their physical, emotional and holistic needs, as dignity should not be sacrificed in healthcare.”
