Woven Image, leaders in design-led sustainable acoustic finishes and textiles for the built environment launches its latest collection Macro Rhythms. Reflecting on the rapidly evolving workplace, Macro Rhythms embraces sensory perception engaging in a visual, tactile and aural experience on a macro scale. Woven Image introduces two new stunning floor-to-ceiling 3D formed panel solutions Column and Curtain, complimented with five tactile EchoPanel® Precision Cut designs, Isle, Orb, Parquet, Mosaic and Current all made of 80% post-consumer recycled content.

As the name suggests, Column is inspired by the undulating symmetrical rhythms of the awe-inspiring classical architectural innovation. Due to the design of wave-like peaks and troughs coupled with a depth of approximately 70mm and a combination of non-woven raw materials, significant airgaps are captured in a direct fix wall application providing an acoustically superior solution for open plan commercial interior spaces. Curtain, the asymmetrical cousin to Column, takes on a more freeform fluid appearance. Designed with an airgap in direct fix wall applications, it displays a beautiful contemporary acoustic macro “curtain effect” where the nonwoven materials appear to ebb and flow across a three-dimensional form. Curtain creates a unique visual delight whilst delivering outstanding acoustic performance.

Curtain is available in 8 colours, the same signature Woven Image colour palette as Column and subsequently driven from the hero colour palette of EchoPanel 12mm and Mura. Woven Image’s signature marle effect mushroom is included along with warm nutmeg reminiscent of a classic wood tone, dusk a beautifully subtle pink hue, fresh sorbet mint, indigo navy, lush vineyard green, classic cream and the subtle cool neutral frost, completes the palette.

Pushing the boundaries and capabilities of CNC technology, the 5 new precision cut designs in newly developed 80% post-consumer recycled EchoPanel® 12mm are also released as part of the Macro Rhythms theme. Isle, Orb, Parquet, Mosaic and Current are available in the full signature EchoPanel® 12mm colour palette. With floor-to-ceiling application, the vertical sides of the panels feature Woven Image’s signature chamfer, allowing for easy installation with no additional trimming required.

Referencing the current fashion trend for checks, plaids and tartans, Isle features a precision-cut geometric grid design. Textural variation is created within the grid via an offset linework along with varying the depth of the v-groove cuts.

Drawing inspiration from contemporary art-deco, Orb showcases a bold circular shape, repeated across the panel to give a subtle textural variation creating a sophisticated modern design. Central linework intersecting the circular motifs allows a seamless pattern that matches across panels.

Continuing the Art Deco theme, Parquet introduces large-scale geometric interlocking shapes. Precision-cut v-grooves at varying angles, combined with straight lines, create a 3D effect that gives the impression of the design projecting from the panel.

Inspirated by the artistic styles of Chagall and Mondrian, Mosaic offers a unique offset asymmetrical appearance, exploring intersecting vertical linework with ad hoc angles creating an irregular freeform geometric effect.

Current embodies sensory design, with flowing linework that evokes the mindful and calming effect of ocean shorelines. Its fluid, vertical design promotes a serene and tranquil atmosphere, making it the ideal acoustic wall solution for spaces requiring a peaceful ambiance.

The Macro Rhythms collection introduces innovative acoustic finishes designed to enhance positive visual, tactile and aural perceptions. These sensorial designs influence and benefit commercial interiors, intensifying positive emotions and behaviours indoors.
