A presentation that tells the story of Norwegian design ‘The Norwegian Boutique Bedroom’ takes centre stage at Jensen Beds with the overarching theme of Norwegian comfort, quality and sustainability, never driven by fleeting trends or fads but steeped in timeless craftsmanship and thoughtful design.
Curated by multidisciplinary studio Hunting & Narud (founded by native Norwegians Amy Hunting and Oscar Narud) this curated installation brings together the best in Norwegian Design. Spotlighting the unique aspects of Eikund, Lundhs, Northern, Jensen Beds and Norsk Dun, carefully chosen items are presented forming a strong synergy and a cohesive, balanced exhibition.
Lundhs’ natural stone slabs are illuminated by Northern’s Buddy Wall lamps framing and adding drama to the installation, while Norsk Dun will dress the Jensen Bed with their collection of bedding and pillows. The setting is surrounded by iconic designs from Northern plus mid-century seating elegance by Eikund. To enhance the storytelling and add depth to the space, Norwegian art will be displayed, and Lundhs presents a bespoke console table desk designed by Hunting & Narud highlighting the materials while adding functionality and structure to the space.
Accompanying the installation will be two panel discussions with brand ambassadors from Eikund, Lundhs, Northern, Jensen Beds and Norsk Dun chaired by Elizabeth Chopin, Editor of Design Anthology magazine and Grant Gibson, co-founder of material intelligence platform Material Matters, co-hosted with the Norwegian Embassy.
