Brockwell Lido Offering £1 Cold Water Charity Dips this Winter

Brockwell Lido is inviting members of the local community to join its ‘Sub-10 Club’ and embrace the benefits of cold-water immersion to help give someone a warm space to sleep this winter

Embrace the chill this winter as Brockwell Lido falls below 10 degrees, with its exciting new Sub-10 Club offering £1 dips every day until 31st January, from 10am-12pm, for seasoned outdoor swimmers and newbies alike.

All of the money raised will be donated to Warm Spaces, a charity committed to signposting individuals to safe and welcoming spaces where they can find solace and warmth.

Fans of cold-water immersion have long extolled its benefits, from alleviating the symptoms of anxiety and depression, to increasing libido and reducing stress. The Lido will also have trained cold-water immersion experts on hand to ensure the local community can make the most of their dip and unlock the myriad of health benefits.

After the exhilarating plunge, participants are invited to unwind at the Brockwell Lido cafe, warming up with a hot chocolate, improving circulation, enhancing mood and increasing energy levels.

General Manager of Brockwell Lido, Scarlett Hayward says: We are thrilled to introduce the Sub-10 Club, a new opportunity for our community to come together and experience the benefits of a cold-water plunge, all in the name of charity. Brockwell Lido is immensely proud to be supporting Warm Spaces this winter and we encourage all members of the Brixton community to come along and reap the benefits of the cold water for a great cause!”

Brockwell Lido recognises the importance of community support, especially during the colder months. The Sub-10 Club isn’t just about embracing the brisk waters; it’s about making a difference in the lives of those who might be struggling to stay warm. By taking the plunge, participants not only challenge themselves but also contribute to providing warmth to others in need.
