Leading West London law firm Berris Law LLP’s Senior Partner Julian Hayes has been ranked in the Chambers & Partners UK 2025 Guide for his work in Family and Children Law.

Ranked as an individual in the UK-Wide category for Family/ Children Law: Public Law Matters, Julian Hayes has been recognised for his vast experience in both criminal and civil law to represent both parents and children in care proceedings and deprivation of liberty cases.

Chambers and Partners have published guides to the legal profession since 1990. With a team of 200+ full-time researchers at their London head office they identify and rank the world’s best lawyers and law firms based on in-depth, objective research including interviews with thousands of lawyers and their clients. Each guide offers in-depth analysis of the legal market within a specific region (the UK, Europe, Asia, USA, Latin America and Canada), whilst the Global guide offers worldwide coverage, ranking lawyers and law firms with leading international practices.

Recommending Julian for the 2025 guide, two peers are quoted stating that: “Julian manages personalities well, keeps focus on the goal, is very persuasive and quite the formidable opponent” and “Julian’s dedication to providing exceptional client service is commendable. His ability to blend legal expertise with a genuine concern for his clients’ well-being sets him apart in his field.”

Commenting on the ranking, Senior Partner, Julian Hayes said: “I am thrilled to have been recognised in the latest edition of Chambers & Partners UK. It is a proud testimony to the hard-working team of passionate lawyers who I work alongside tirelessly to receive justice for our clients. The cuts to legal aid and the lack of funding in the area has meant that many firms can no longer offer this support. We are proud to be one of the minority still putting access to justice at the forefront of the judicial system.“
