Voove, a communications and technology services company based in the Outer Hebrides, proudly announces its achievement as the first Scottish-headquartered company to become authorised Starlink installers.

Since 2021, Voove has been at the forefront of delivering Starlink internet services, having successfully installed over 500 systems across Scotland in the past three years. This milestone underscores Voove’s commitment to providing innovative connectivity solutions and bridging the digital divide in rural and remote areas.

“Becoming an officially authorised Starlink installer by SpaceX marks a significant step for Voove and our mission to enhance digital connectivity across Scotland,” said Angus Doyle, Director of Voove. “Our experience and dedication to delivering high-quality internet services have positioned us as a trusted partner for communities and businesses in need of reliable connectivity.”

Voove is now authorised to install Starlink systems across various sectors, including commercial, residential, marine, and in-motion systems. Having passed all the SpaceX required training and certifications, Voove is equipped to deliver tailored connectivity solutions to meet diverse needs and environments.

As a supplier for the Scottish Government’s broadband voucher scheme, Voove offers a range of alternative connectivity solutions for those outside the reach of traditional fixed-line internet. Although Starlink is not currently available under the Scottish broadband voucher scheme, it is offered as an effective alternative to ensure that even the most remote areas can benefit from high-speed internet access.

Being based in the Outer Hebrides, Voove’s teams are intimately familiar with the challenges of slow and no broadband connectivity. Moreover, our solutions are designed to withstand the Hebridean wind and weather, providing customers with the assurance that our installations will endure the life of the product. Voove has also partnered with Peplink to deliver unbreakable connectivity for those that need it most.

Voove has installed Starlink at local and major events and festivals, offshore vessels and platforms, and provide same-day communication for emergency services, aquaculture, and global news agencies. Alongside hundreds of fixed installations for private yacht owners, homes and businesses, Voove’s comprehensive services have
proven essential across various applications and industries.

Perhaps none as important to that which promotes the Scottish Language to the masses, from the Hebrides to Space, to the rest of the world.

“We are delighted to work with Voove on a yearly basis who provide us with a Starlink connection to allow us to stream our evening events across the world. Our weekly annual summer school attracts 100s of visitors to the island for tuition, fringe events and events featuring local, national and international talent. This Starlink connection is extremely important to us ensuring that we promote our language, culture and heritage nationally and internationally. We have viewers in lots of different countries including Australia, Canada, USA and Germany. This service is provided by Voove to a high standard with excellent speeds and streaming quality. As a charity, we are very grateful to Voove who go the extra mile in providing this service. Angus and the team are always on hand to support. Mòran taing dhuibh airson gach cuideachaidh.” said John Joe MacNeil CEO at Ceòlas Uibhist.
