By balancing the needs of rural, suburban and urban areas, our designers are well placed to support property developers who want to create unique projects that serve the individual and support a premium kitchen living experience.”
The expert design team at LEICHT Contracts is delighted to share two recently completed projects with the first development in Wallingford, Oxfordshire and the second located in Kentish Town, North London.
Winterbrook Gardens, Wallingford, Oxon – 43x
LEICHT Contracts were commissioned to design and install 60 kitchens for Berkeley Homes in its latest neighbourhood development in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. Winterbrook Gardens is a superb collection of 2, 3, 4 & 5-bedroom homes close to the town centre and the River Thames with a village green, character areas and play facilities.
The Winterbrook community is designed to integrate seamlessly with Wallingford via a network of green links, so residents can cycle to this historic market town in just 6 minutes or reach London Paddington by train in under 40 mins. Aimed at buyers in search of a quality family home and more healthy work/life balance, leading property developers Berkeley Group’s main aim is to create a new neighbourhood that embodies the traditional values, styling and the desirable lifestyle associated with village life.
Reflecting the need for contemporary style within a blended kitchen and dining space, the CERES Kitchen, which is part of the CONTINO handless furniture range by LEICHT is featured within each property. Practical by design, CERES is created by laser technology and has colour co-ordinated grip rails located just under the work surface so that the Olive Grey doors and drawer fronts create a truly seamless finish, and remain uninterrupted by knobs or handles.
The generous LEICHT 17mm laminate worktops complement the concrete effect tiled splashback and CERES wall cabinets in Carbon Grey to provide a subtle contrast between the top and base units. Carbon grey synthetic drawer inserts offer longevity with sturdy pull-outs for optimal use of space within the wet zone, which are supplied with Abode AW5137 Verve 1.5 bowl stainless steel sinks with drainer in the 2 and 3-bed properties, Abode AW5126 Matrix R15 1.5 bowl stainless steel sinks in the 4 and 5-bed homes, and Reginox Salina single lever chrome mixer taps throughout. Every detail is carefully considered including LEICHT lighting solutions such as LED lighting under the wall units and recessed LED downlights to the work zone – in addition to plugs with the latest USB-C sockets for enhanced connectivity, and designer suite of Bosch black appliances including an induction hob, built-in combi oven/microwave, and extractor.
The Tipton, Highgate Road, Kentish Town – 32x
Kentish Town, North London is a fiercely independent, dynamic and arty neighbourhood where community and sustainability are deeply rooted, which is why LEICHT Contracts delivered sustainable custom design for every kitchen at The Tipton, on Highgate Road.
Built to the very highest standards by family-run property development company, GM London, sustainability is a focus throughout with each home in the 42-apartment mixed use development carefully considered and designed by award-winning interior designer, Scenesmith.
All LEICHT furniture is made from sustainable materials, such as PEFC-certified timbers and recycled aluminium, and its commitment to eco-friendly practices led to LEICHT Contracts being appointed to design and install a LEICHT kitchen in every property at The Tipton. SYNTHIA Highland Oak furniture from the PRIMO collection was selected to combine style and substance – thanks to the clean lines of the PEFC certified sustainably sourced cabinets and handleless design style throughout. The golden wood décor of SYNTHIA is complemented by minimalist CERES top units in MOHAIR, to provide a lasting finish that is anti-fingerprint, and easy to maintain. All apartments feature Vado bronze single lever taps with a Reginox Amsterdam white single bowl sink, organic white Caesarstone worktops and fully integrated Bosch appliances to complete the look. Designed-in task lighting elevates the user experience, with each Penthouse taking luxury to a new level by offering homeowners fully integrated Siemens appliances, a Bora PURU induction hob with extractor, Caple wine cooler, Pronteau PT1132 Prothia Slimline 3 IN 1 matt black instant hot water tap, and complementary oak cutlery trays for the ultimate in luxury living.
Inspired by the best in open plan design, the kitchen living areas in each apartment are light and minimal, with full height windows to maximise light, and herringbone hardwood flooring with underfloor heating to offer consistent heat distribution, greater energy efficiency, and space optimisation! Each property also benefits from spacious and private balconies along with two communal rooftop terraces offering far-reaching views over Kentish Town, Hampstead Heath and the city of London. Completion is due this Summer 2025.
