In just over four years, Rhea Karo has built millions of followers, created viral content that’s viewed around the world and won Hollywood and luxury clients

A dynamic young British entrepreneur has built up an envious client base for her social media and marketing agency including A-list Hollywood actors and some of the most exciting UK brands in luxury and retail.

Launching the business in 2020 when she was 26 years old, Rhea Karo, founder and Managing Director of social media and marketing agency Social Amour, has led the business through rapid growth. With Rhea at the helm, Social Amour achieved a multi-six revenue by the end of the second year, and hasn’t slowed down, with turnover increasing by 150% in the last 12 months alone.

Social Amour built a solid reputation by regularly delivering results with high ROI, becoming recognised as a rising star within the social media industry. Yet the key turning point in the business and for Rhea was in January 2023, when she was approached to support an undisclosed high net worth individual, who was later revealed as Hollywood actress Salma Hayek Pinault.

Within the first six months of working with her, Rhea had grown Salma’s social media by an incredible 4.5 million followers and even had one piece of content viewed by 21.9 million people. With a heavy focus on driving home the actress’ passion for supporting other women, gender equality and philanthropy, Rhea and her Social Amour team have been instrumental in building Salma’s personal brand.

With one global name on her books, Rhea’s agency began growing rapidly and continued to pick up high profile clients including theatre and film actor Luke Evans and his clothing brand BDXY.

Supporting initially with a launch project, Rhea and her agency led the social content strategy and execution for the brand including their pop up at Nobu Ibiza and have been retained as the ongoing content strategy and creation for both the brand and Luke himself. The initial project was such a success that in just one month of Social Amour working with Luke and BDXY, they had 2.9 million impressions across all social media platforms.

In addition to the agency’s work with high profile A-listers the Social Amour team are also committed to delivering exceptional results for their exciting roster of clients across the luxury lifestyle sector. Working with premium tequila cocktail brand Pimentae Drinks, the team delivered fantastic results in the first 30 days of working together. The content created by Social Amour had a 2.3 million reach from an influencer campaign, delivered 1,950 unique customers and helped to generate multi-six figures of revenue in its first year.

Remaining intentionally boutique, and working with select, high-ticket clients, Rhea has built a close knit, creative inhouse team, skilled in every social media discipline, so client’s full 360 degree social media journey can be looked after under one roof. Social Amour has specialists in photography, videography, animations as well as digital and social strategy, influencer management and email marketing.

Rhea admits that love and empathy is at the heart of Social Amour, from the working environment she sets for her team to the connection they build with their clients. She encourages all her team members to feel confident to be themselves and feel that they can bring all their talent and ideas to the table without judgement. This sentiment is just as important with her clients, taking the time to understand and connect with them fully to become an extension of their team, not just an added agency.

With client demand at an all time high, Social Amour is expected to grow by 80% in the next financial year. With a rapidly growing business, Rhea Karo says: “The success of Social Amour has been carefully built in the past four years, and I’m keen to keep growing the team and our services sustainably whilst continuing to work with aligned clients and projects.

“We’ve been so lucky to have worked with some brilliant names and built strong relationships with clients that turn into long lasting partnerships. From working with Luke Evans and BDXY, Salma Hayak Pinault alongside household names like Netflix and Gucci, we’ve been able to create some brilliant creative ideas, deliver work that has real value for clients and measures up alongside business objectives and KPIs.

“With social media, content and digital marketing always rapidly evolving and changing, I’m confident that we can continue to be a partner to brands in the future to deliver a service that works and fully integrates into their business whilst being creative, dynamic and bold.”

Prior to launching her own agency, Rhea built up her CV and experience after leaving university in 2015 with in-house marketing roles at companies such as Luxottica, Ted Baker and Selfridges before taking the leap to start out on her own in 2020.
