Share to Buy’s 20th Live Event: The London Home Show Returns this Autumn

Share to Buy is returning to the QEII Centre once again this September to host the London Home Show, the UK’s no.1 event for first time buyers. Significantly, the upcoming event will mark Share to Buy’s 20th live show, with over 70,000 hopeful house hunters through the door since the London Home Show began in 2013.

Following the huge success of the spring London Home Show, which welcomed almost 3,500 attendees, the free to attend event will provide guests with unrivalled access to information on different buying schemes and products designed to help people step onto the property ladder, including Shared Ownership, Discount Full Ownership and London Living Rent.

Over 40 exhibitors will be in attendance, from homebuilders and housing associations to mortgage brokers and solicitors. Attendees will be able to chat with teams from some of the country’s biggest and best-known housing providers and find out more about available and upcoming developments across London and the Home Counties. Guests can even register their interest in properties on the day.

A major draw for guests, the London Home Show will host over 20 live sessions throughout the day across three key categories – Housing, Financial and Legal. An exciting addition to the event programme for September 2024, Share to Buy will host its first-ever session, led by Head of Brand & Content for Share to Buy, Jade Turnstill. Other highlights include Ask the Experts: Shared Ownership Q&As and the hugely popular affordability sessions hosted by independent mortgage broker, Censeo Financial, to help buyers understand the mortgage process.

A further addition to the day’s line-up, SO Resi will be recording a live version of their ‘SO in the Know’ podcast. Hosted by SO Resi’s Head of Resales and Staircasing, Sarah Ellis, the panel session will feature a representative from Censeo Financial and a leading solicitor.

Jade Turnstill, Head of Brand & Content for Share to Buy comments: “We are extremely excited to be hosting our 20th live event this autumn, officially marking 11 years of the London Home Show. It’s a challenging time for those looking to step onto the property ladder – rising interest rates mean many buyers feel priced out of the market, and think that purchasing a home is totally out of reach for them. It’s more important than ever that hopeful buyers can access high-quality information about buying a home, and are aware of the options available to them.“

“We’re expecting another high turnout for this event, following the huge success of our April exhibition. The London Home Show is always a brilliant day out, offering guests unparalleled levels of information and advice from leading figures in the property industry. This is the first time that the Share to Buy team will be hosting a session, too, which is really exciting for us – as the country’s leading online portal for first time buyer homes, we can offer attendees a really unique, unbiased perspective, as well as a wealth of information.”

The London Home Show has partnered with 11 of the industry’s leading names and providers of first time buyer developments, with Abri Homes, L&Q, Peabody New Homes, NHG Homes, Legal & General Affordable Homes, FABRICA, SO Resi, Southern Housing New Homes, Aster Sales, Square Roots and Places for People sponsoring the event.

The London Home Show is a ticket-only event, so guests will need to register in advance for their free place.
