Quick-Step Launches Two New Waterproof Wood Collections

Quick-Step is launching two new waterproof wood collections that last a lifetime thanks to the Wood for Life technology. Whether that’s the wide planks from the Cala collection or the more discreet compact wood floor from the Amato collection, one thing’s for sure: homeowners can enjoy the warmth of wood worry-free in every room of their home, even the bathroom and kitchen.

Two years ago, Quick-Step made headlines with the first-ever waterproof wood collection, Cascada. Following its success and increasing demand, the brand is launching two new waterproof wood collections: Cala and Amato.

Thanks to the Belgian flooring manufacturer, the hassles of maintaining a wooden floor are now a thing of the past. With an optimised version of the revolutionary Uniclic click system, water cannot seep between the planks. Additionally, the brand has developed the Wood for Life coating to seal the floor surface – including the joints – against water and stop the build-up of dirt and bacteria. This eliminates the need to sand down wood floors over time and allows Quick-Step’s wood collections to be installed confidently in bathrooms and kitchens.

    Revival of Wood

In the past, wood flooring often faced challenges in terms of maintenance due to practical considerations. However, thanks to Quick-Step’s innovations, wood flooring is now as low-maintenance as other floors and suitable for all spaces.

Unsurprisingly, wood flooring is experiencing an unprecedented revival in the world of design and architecture. With the increasing focus on more sustainable products, there is a growing appreciation for natural materials and traditional techniques that stand the test of time. Quick-Step’s wood flooring embodies these values and offers timeless elegance that transcends fleeting trends.

Designed for life, the floors come with a lifetime guarantee, and the core of Quick-Step wood flooring consists of reclaimed wood, with slow-growing wood species like oak only used for the top layer.

Bring Serenity with Cala and Amato

The beauty of nature lies in the diversity and detail of the Cala and Amato collections. Each plank tells a unique story through its grain patterns, texture, and colour variations. The wide range of decors gives homeowners the opportunity to add their personal mark.

Are they seeking a floor with pronounced knots and cracks, exuding a rustic atmosphere? Or do they prefer more premium wood for a more refined look?

For homeowners leaning towards minimalism who want to add a touch of grandeur, the wide planks from the Cala collection will undoubtedly provide a popular choice. The narrower, waterproof planks from the Amato collection are ideal for smaller spaces like the bathroom or hallway. This is particularly beneficial for those who want the same floor throughout the home. Seamlessly transitioning from the bedroom to the bathroom and integrating the kitchen into the living area creates unity and serenity in your home.
