Prime London Agency Post Record Year in Turbulent Market

ANDERSON ROSE’ PCL BRANCH BREAKS RECORDS FOLLOWING FLURRY OF ACTIVITY AT THE END OF 2024

Leading London estate agency Anderson Rose further established itself as a leading name in prime London property following a surge of sales in the final months of 2024. A succession of deals across 13 different PCL postcodes saw the firm set a new record by increasing total sales across the year, up by 57% compared to 2023.

Despite a turbulent market, impacted by a general election and continued economic pressures, Anderson Rose remained resilient with a succession of high-profile sales, the majority completing in the second half of the year, totalling in excess of £23 million.

Demonstrating their growing presence across London’s prime central villages, Anderson Rose closed on multiple deals in Mayfair, Marylebone, Belgravia, Kensington, Notting Hill, Bayswater, St. John’s Wood, Queen’s Park, Hampstead, Swiss Cottage and Maida Vale.

Scott Joseph, Head of Prime Central London at Anderson Rose, commented: “It was a slow start to the year in 2024 and the calling of the General Election put a lot of deals on ice until it’s conclusion. However, we put a lot of work into anticipating a busy second half of the year once the dust had settled from the result, which combined with our growing reach across prime central London, led to us achieving record figures.

“The momentum has continued into 2025 and if our current pipeline of sales complete, we could be looking at a third record year in a row, which would be a fantastic achievement for our growing team. Despite the strong start we remain cautiously optimistic, with a realist outlook on how the market is going to perform. There are no quick fixes, but as long as there are no left field political or economic events to spook the market then we see a similar 12 months ahead of us.”

Anderson Rose’ strong end to 2024 bucked the trend in prime central London, which saw transactions decrease by over 4% in Q4 compared to the same period in 2023 (LonRes December Market Briefing). However, the number of properties going under offer rose by 20.4% compared to 2023, whilst instructions were up by 4.4%, which points towards a flurry of activity in 2025.

Not limited to the sales market, Anderson Rose’ PCL rental department also enjoyed a successful year. The team increased its managed tenancies by 50%, with a rise in word-of-mouth recommendations and repeat business further bolstering the department’s portfolio.

Scott added: “Our lettings department remains incredibly busy, as various market conditions mean more are turning towards the rental market whilst they wait for their perfect home or as sellers wait for more stability and look to secure income in the meantime. Going into 2025 we are looking to increase our reach in the prime London rental market, whilst also adding to our portfolio of managed tenancies.”

With offices in prime central London, Anderson Rose is the premium estate agent of the area, possessing astute local knowledge that provides an invaluable tool to buyers and sellers alike, with the team able to provide a personally tailored service for all clients.
