One of the UK’s leading anaesthetic doctors is changing the face of the cosmetics industry with his revolutionary, pain-free approach

One of the UK’s leading aesthetic doctors is changing the face of the cosmetics industry with his revolutionary, pain-free approach.

Dr. Ed Robinson, who draws in on his expertise as an NHS anaesthetist, is the only aesthetics doctor in Cheshire offering this array of nerve blocks to deliver pain-free treatments to his patients.

The doctor with over 7 years of medical experience revealed: “In anaesthetics we perform lots of procedures with people awake using nerve blocks.

“This is where local anaesthetic is injected near to where the nerve is. Everything that the nerve supplies will then go numb.

“For the last few years I have been integrating nerve blocks into my non-surgical procedures.

“They can be injected into the forehead for pain-free hair loss treatments or into different parts of the mid and lower face when administering lip filler.

“The eyes are also a very sensitive area and so infra-orbital nerve blocks reduce the pain under the eyes for treatments for dark circles or wrinkles.”

Dr. Ed’s clinic delivers a range of natural-looking, non-surgical procedures such as anti-wrinkle treatments, dermal fillers and skin rejuvenation treatments.

The award-winning aesthetics doctor added: “Using the nerve blocks concurrently means that I can achieve a facial nerve block, which is something that I am increasingly performing in clinic.

“These facial nerve blocks help me to perform more invasive procedures without discomfort for patients.

“Often, the fear of pain is the barrier stopping individuals from choosing these treatments. For example, many are afraid of the intrusiveness of Morpheus8, a revolutionary treatment that combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy to stimulate collagen production.

“However, I am able to carry out Morpheus treatments with reduced discomfort, addressing sagging skin and wrinkles, and improving overall skin texture.

“Using nerve blocks means that the results are more noticeable and can be achieved in fewer sessions.

“The nerve blocks can only be delivered by a health care professional who is qualified, and ideally trained by an anaesthetist.

“If injected incorrectly, they can cause nerve damage and other complications.

“Very few other doctors in the UK can provide this aesthetic treatment pain-free to this degree.”

Dr. Ed established his aesthetics clinic in 2021 with the aim of applying his medical knowledge and understanding of anatomy, pharmacology and physiology to benefit his patients cosmetically.
