Southside Shopping Centre has partnered with Spokesafe to open its new Cycle Hub.

The Hub is designed for cyclists looking for a secure place to park their bike and will be accessible for the public to use 24/7. With 22 fully enclosed spaces for both bicycles and eBikes, the Cycle Hub provides visitors peace of mind during their visit to Wandsworth Town from as little as £1 a day, £5 a week, and £10 per month.

Pieter Strömbeck, Centre Director at Southside Shopping Centre, said: “With sustainability at the forefront of everyone’s minds, we know that guests are on the lookout for more climate conscious options, so we are delighted to be working with Spokesafe to open the new Cycle Hub at Southside.

“The Cycle Hub aims to make Wandsworth more cycle-friendly, promoting greener modes of transport and minimising emissions that can be harmful to the environment, and we hope visitors take full advantage of this excellent facility during their visit to the centre.”

Spokesafe’s founder, Max Wilson added: “It’s been great to work with the team at Southside Shopping Centre to open the new Cycle Hub. Across the UK we have thousands of underutilised spaces which can be run more efficiently to increase the number of possible journeys by bike. The Cycle Hub is a great example of what can be achieved – and should act as a blueprint for others.”

The Cycle Hub is located at Cark Park 1, off Garratt Lane, at Southside Shopping Centre and can be accessed by downloading the Spokesafe app. Additional cycling spaces are available at XO Bikes.
