Get ready to pop those corks because National Prosecco Day is just around the corner! On 13th August 2024, Prosecco fans across the UK will be raising their glasses to celebrate this beloved bubbly beverage.

This year, the experts at leading London hen party company, Fizzbox have taken a closer look at the cost of enjoying a glass of Prosecco in pubs and bars across popular UK cities and discovered that London offers the most expensive Prosecco price.

The average price of a glass of Prosecco in the UK this year is £7.09. However, if you’re in London, be prepared to pay a premium. England’s capital tops the chart as the priciest place to enjoy a glass of Prosecco, with an average cost of £8.96. London’s vibrant nightlife and chic venues come at a cost, making it the most expensive city for Prosecco lovers.

Brighton follows closely behind, with a glass of Prosecco costing an average of £8.66. But if you’re looking to enjoy your fizz without breaking the bank, head to Newcastle. There, you can sip on a glass for just £6.46 on average, making it the most affordable city for Prosecco in the UK.

Sheffield also offers a more budget-friendly option, with prices averaging £6.60 per glass. Head over to Essex and find Colchester in joint second place for the cheapest class with Sheffield and Nottingham with Prosecco costing an average of £6.60 a glass.

Fizzbox’s research also reveals an interesting trend: last year, the average price of a glass of Prosecco in the UK was £6.22. This year, that average has increased by 13%, showing just how popular and in-demand Prosecco has become.
