Breakfast lovers rejoice! This March, a unique breakfast event is coming to London, and it’s set to be downright delicious thanks to a tasty collaboration between Alpro and Michelin-trained chef, Poppy O’Toole.

With research from the plant-based pioneers* revealing that more than nine million people** admit to eating the same thing each morning for at least the last five years(!), Alpro is coming to the rescue – offering breakfast fans the opportunity to shake up their breakfast in style.

On Thursday 14th March, Poppy, will serve up five tasty courses, all designed to help kick-start the day in a delectable way. With almost a quarter (23 per cent) of breakfast enthusiast admitting they’re better at exploring options and trying new things for their evening meal, Poppy has taken inspiration from popular dinnertime meals to create the UK’s first plant-based breakfast tasting menu.

Designed to bring the excitement of dinnertime to the breakfast table and packed with taste variety – from an Alpro almond waffle with creamy almond butter and juicy peaches, to crispy curried hashbrowns topped with a dollop of creamy coconut yoghurt alternative, and sweet mango chutney – the menu even offers guests a breakfast amuse bouche!

Breakfast enthusiasts also will be able to choose from a whole host of plant-based drinks and snacks on offer. They’ll get to hear from Poppy on how the recipes were developed and learn how Alpro shakes up morning meals in a delicious way. Plus, with a gift bag packed full of plant-based delights to take away, guests will have everything they need to re-invigorate their morning meal at home.

Each ticket costs £5*** to dine – only £1 per course! – and all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the charity, Food Cycle, which connects communities, with the aim of reducing loneliness and food poverty.
