LEICHT Contracts, leading provider of German engineered kitchen furniture to the new build and regeneration construction market is thrilled to announce it has been shortlisted at this year’s prestigious Designerati Awards, named a finalist in the ‘Showroom of the Year’ category.

A key event across the interior design community, the Designerati Awards 2024 takes place on Thursday 14th November at the state-of-the-art venue, City Central at the HAC, in London. Finalists will enjoy a champagne and winter cocktail reception, followed by a 3-course dinner and completed with a prestigious awards ceremony.

Established in 2014, LEICHT Contracts is located in SE1 London at The Leather Market, a beautifully restored period building near London Bridge, which is home to the company’s state-of-the-art design studio and meeting space. LEICHT furniture is multi-faceted by design and presents a comprehensive range of design solutions that help to characterise the architectural kitchen and create original interiors through a specially curated mix of luxury units and doors, worksurfaces, and wall solutions for the contemporary kitchen. Supported by a company of qualified experts, LEICHT Contracts offers an in-house Projects Design team, UK Operations team, Projects Management team and dedicated customer service department.

The ‘Showroom of the Year’ award category recognises all new or redesigned high-end kitchen showrooms as part of the mission by Designerati Awards to celebrate excellence in kitchen and bathroom design. Sarah Edwards, Managing Director UK at LEICHT Contracts says “Everyone is delighted to be in the running for a Designerati Award, especially as we all take huge pride in the presentation and operational value of our showroom. Our commissions typically range from 30 high-end homes at £6 million per property through to development projects with 150 entry-level apartments for private rental, and Leicht furniture allows us to be flexible in our offer, and create architecturally designed kitchens exclusively for the developer market.”

LEICHT Contracts transform its London Bridge showroom annually with a series of new displays, kitchen layouts and product innovations across its 3,000 sq ft studio space. The ground floor offers the latest contemporary kitchen designs, which are accompanied by a spacious materials studio, boardroom, staff room and open plan office on the first floor.

Providing a creative space to collaborate and support clients, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in person, LEICHT Contracts is able to supply the volume contract market with ease, selecting from its range of furniture and current partnerships with premium electrical appliance brands like Bora and V-Zug, along with third-party product manufacturers such as worktops by Caesarstone, and sinks and taps by Abode.

From composite quartz and natural stone to the very latest instant hot water taps and integrated smart lighting, sourcing high-quality branded products is key to every project designed and supplied by LEICHT Contracts, and made available to its clients. Matt Goddon, Design Director at LEICHT Contracts adds, “Creativity is at the heart of what we do, which is why each year, the team comes together and plans the next showroom refresh in line with future trends and the latest innovations in demand. We pride ourselves on being able to cater to everything from boutique projects to large volume sites, and we have everything crossed for winning results in November – good luck everyone!”
