South London’s most-loved free family festival, the Lambeth Country Show, is back better than ever on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June in the heart of Brockwell Park. This two-day event will once again bring the best of the countryside to the city, celebrating the rich diversity of international and local talent, and traditions of Lambeth’s vibrant community.

Brought to South London by Lambeth Council, in partnership with Brockwell Live, the 2025 show promises something for everyone, from live music and dance to science, nature, art, food, and thrilling arena spectacles.

Cllr Donatus Anyanwu, Cabinet Member for Stronger Communities, said: “We are delighted to be holding the free Lambeth Country Show again this year because it’s a true celebration of our borough’s incredible diversity, creativity and community spirit.

“The Lambeth Country Show is London’s biggest and best community festival, and the programme for this year’s event looks incredible. The country show is hugely valued by local people because it’s such a great celebration of our borough, it builds community spirit and most importantly is an opportunity to have a great time.”

In the show-stopping Main Arena, visitors will find Les Amis d’Onno Equine’s stunt team performing daring horseback stunts, choreographed sword fights, and theatrical storytelling. Or take a trip back to yesteryear with the magnificent Shire Horses Through The Ages, and catch the educational and always humorous, CJ’s Birds of Prey show. And it just wouldn’t be a Country Show without a Best in Show; cheer on the contenders of over 100 sheep across 25 breeds.

The Main Stage this year returns with a melting pot of global and local sounds, headlined on Saturday by Loose Ends, with YolanDa Brown, SE London’s afro-punk Steam Down and plenty more. While Sunday marks the annual Roots Day, featuring reggae icons Aswad and Johnny Osbourne alongside a vibrant mix of musical talent.

Step into The Farm for a fun-filled showcase of rural life. Watch The Sheep Show’s much-loved dancing sheep, get hands-on in the ‘cuddle corner’ with Vauxhall City Farm’s whole family of alpacas, donkeys and rabbits, and see Brymills Livestock’s expert shearing displays. Also check out Diggerland as they invite children to take part in carefree play throughout the weekend.

From slime-making and virtual reality to the return of the 360° Planetarium Dome and Immersive Gaming Zones, there’s so much family-friendly and brain-boosting fun to discover. Kids can enjoy soft play, story time, dino digs, and even take part in the science of building rockets and sundials.

Experience a plethora of Arts & Culture at the Lambeth Country Show, where live performances and interactive workshops spotlight the borough’s rich creative talent. From the Norwood School Steel Pans Group to the South London Choir, energetic Segatastic Dancers, and uplifting Tea Dance sessions, it is a celebration of Lambeth’s creative spirit.

Giving Chelsea a run for its money, visitors can be immersed in the annual Flower Show, a vibrant botanical showcase in partnership with the Lambeth Horticultural Society. Explore 83 exhibit classes, including stunning flower displays, bonsai, succulents, and floral art, plus the coveted Vegetable Sculpture Competition. Also, take time to visit Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses and vote for favourites in the Scarecrow and Recycled Garden competitions.

Over in the Eco Village, explore green living and activism and learn how to make a difference in the local community and beyond. Meet Greenpeace UK, the London Wildlife Trust, London Beekeepers, and experience Darren Cullen’s Hell Bus, a bold satire on corporate greenwashing. Repowering London’s innovative community energy project is a must-visit for eco-conscious visitors.

The Original Wall of Death gets a welcome return in 2025, offering an edge-of-your-seat vintage motorbike spectacle, performed on a vertical wall just inches from the crowd.

If that wasn’t enough, the electrifying Village Green, LatinoLife, and Grooveschool Stages are brimming with a dynamic mix of live music and cultural performances. From local talent and community ensembles like Lambeth Wind Orchestra to the fierce spirit of Latin street parties, plus Grooveschool’s DJ showcase and a mass participatory ceilidh with Ceilidh Tree, Lambeth Country Show has pulled out all the stops for 2025.

While there will be an abundance of caterers offering a huge array of food from all over the world, visitors are welcome to bring their own food and unopened soft drinks.
