Renowned comedy brand Just The Tonic is set to launch its new home at London’s Metronome Whitechapel on 26th September, marking its 30th anniversary in style. The inaugural event will see Romesh Ranganathan headline the evening, supported by Lindsey Santoro, Paul McCaffrey, and compere Sally-Anne Hayward.

The Metronome Whitechapel, located at 41 Commercial Road, will serve as the London base for Just The Tonic, welcoming an exciting lineup of stand-up talent. Romesh is just the first of many high-profile names scheduled to perform at the venue, with future headliners including Britain’s Got Talent winner Viggo Venn, Lou Sanders, Emmanuel Sonubi, and Gary Delaney.

Darrell Martin, founder and owner of Just The Tonic, expressed his enthusiasm about the London launch:

“We are so pleased to see Just The Tonic arrive in London. We’re looking forward to bringing our top-end comedy shows to this high-spec, perfect comedy venue. After years of working together in Nottingham at the original Metronome, we know that together we can produce comedy shows that will soon be seen as a top-tier night out in the capital. We’re so excited for this new collaboration and putting on the best talent from around the world. Come and laugh at us!”

Craig Chettle MBE, CEO of Confetti Media Group and owner of the Metronome, echoed these sentiments:

“Our partnership with Just The Tonic in Nottingham goes back years, and it was only natural for us to bring this to London. Metronome is a 300-seater venue right in the heart of bustling Whitechapel, offering an exciting mix of live performance, from comedy to music. We’re thrilled to be the new home for Just The Tonic as they expand into the capital.”

Originally launched in Nottingham over 30 years ago, Just The Tonic has played host to a wide array of up-and-coming comedians and established TV names. Now one of the most respected live comedy brands in the UK, it operates venues in Leicester, Birmingham, Nottingham, and Reading, as well as hosting shows at leading festivals such as the Leicester Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Festival. Over the years, the brand has seen performances from top comics including Ricky Gervais, Bill Bailey, Stewart Lee, and Sarah Millican, to name just a few.
