HENDON WATERSIDE FUN RUN RAISES OVER £6,500 FOR NOAH’S ARK CHILDREN’S HOSPICE IN BARNET

Barratt London has raised £6,551.51 for their Charity of the Year partner Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice by hosting a Fun Run for residents and locals at its Hendon Waterside development. The fundraising event was held in aid of the children’s hospice, who support babies, children and young people with life-threatening or life-limiting conditions, and their families, to make the most of every day.

The charity supports children who are seriously unwell and makes sure they are in as much comfort as possible, surrounded by family. By providing exceptional care, organising fun activities and days out, Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice helps families do things they never thought possible. They help those they support to enjoy life as children, rather than as patients; as families, not just as carers.

Participants ran a three-kilometre route around the Hendon Waterside grounds, led by the Barratt London team and staff from the West Hendon Anytime Fitness branch. Situated along the Welsh Harp Reservoir, runners looped around the water, providing scenic views of the Site of Scientific Special Interest.

Laura Grundy, Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice’s Community Engagement Manager said: “We are extremely grateful to Barratt London for raising these vital funds for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice. We only receive 20% of our funding from the Government so we are reliant on the generous support from our community and community partners to help us be there for children and families.’

Joseph Antoniazzi, Director of Sales and Marketing at Barratt West London, comments: “Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice has been an integral part of the Barnet community since it began in 1999, and we feel proud to be able to support a charity that offers such a diverse range of services to those that need it most.

“As we build homes at Hendon Waterside, we hope to continue giving back to organisations like Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice that are central to shaping the area, and it was lovely to see the local community come out in full force to take part in the Fun Run fundraiser. It was a great success for everyone involved.”

Prices for Hendon Waterside start from £375,000 for a one-bedroom home. To find out more, visit www.barrattlondon.com or call 0330 057 6666.
