The best high-altitude spring ski breaks from Gatwick on sale right now

From £320pp for an Alps Adventure!

Save even more with the Heidi sale: up to £400 off selected holidays

Worried you’ve left it too late to book a ski trip, or you’ve already been this season but want to squeeze in a bonus weekend with your mates on the cheap? March and April are truly your oyster when it comes to affordable spring ski breaks. Or even if you’re taking the kids during the Easter holidays. With Heidi, you can choose ‘London Gatwick’ in the airport filter and search 1,000s of packages in seconds with direct flights. Plus, get up to £400 off selected ski holidays in the Heidi spring sale.

Marcus Blunt, Co-Founder of Heidi, comments: “If bluebird days on quieter slopes with the warm sun on your face sounds like heaven, opt for a spring ski break. Resorts are still in full swing but the slopes are less crowded than February half term. Going later in the season tends to be cheaper too, so you can find fantastic deals. Lots of our customers also love the option of being able to book a short ski break or long weekend.”

He adds: “For the best spring snow conditions, choose a resort with access to high-altitude slopes. Some of our top spring sellers are Chamonix, Flaine and Avoriaz in France for this reason. These particular resorts are also ideal for a long weekend, as they’re just a quick transfer to and from Geneva, which has lots of flight options.”

Here are five resorts with short airport transfer times and some of Heidi’s cheapest high-altitude long spring ski weekends and short Easter holiday family ski breaks available right now. All of them fly direct from Gatwick:

    Great for groups:

Avoriaz is car-free, fully ski-in / ski-out, and fantastic for all abilities. Sitting within the enormous Portes du Soleil ski area, you’ll have access to pistes for all abilities, plus 10 snowparks.

    • Book it: £330pp for 4 nights self-catering (Thurs 27th – Mon 31st March 2025) at ski-in/ski-out Résidence Pierre & Vacances Saskia Falaise, based on 4 people sharing. Includes return London Gatwick  – Geneva flights and airport transfers.

Méribel sits in the middle of the epic Les Trois Vallées area and is one of the world’s most renowned ski resorts for good reason. It’s heaven for skiers and boarders who want access to the world’s largest playground of pistes with the classic charm of a French ski village.

P.S. You won’t usually see Méribel on cheap ski holiday lists – this is a rare find!

    • Book it: £400pp for 4 nights self-catering (Thurs 10th – Mon 14th April 2025) at Résidence Pierre & Vacances Les Ravines, based on 4 people sharing. Includes return London Gatwick – Geneva flights and private airport transfers.

Chamonix is an enormous high-altitude resort with four separate ski areas to explore and one of the longest ski seasons in the French Alps. Not to mention its lively après ski. With quick, timely transfers from Geneva, Chamonix is great for weekend warriors wanting to maximise slope time.

    • Book it: £394pp for 4 nights (Thurs 10th – Mon 14th April 2025) staying at La Folie Douce Hotel Chamonix, based on 4 people sharing. Price includes return London Gatwick – Geneva flights and airport transfers.

    Great for families:

Flaine guarantees big family fun and high-altitude skiing, so it’s perfect for a snowy Easter break with kids in tow. Located in Haute-Savoie, this is a car-free, ski-in/ski-out parent paradise. Bask in the beautiful Mont Blanc views, with the 265km Grand Massif ski area literally on your doorstep.

    • Book it for Easter: £367pp for a family of four, staying 4 nights self-catering (Fri 11th – Mon 15th April 2025) at Résidence Pierre & Vacances La Forêt in the centre of the resort, just a 2-minute walk to the slopes. Price includes return London Gatwick – Geneva flights and private airport transfers.

Isola 2000 is set in the southern French Alps, less than 60 miles from Nice. Home to huge mountains, this family-friendly resort boasts epic high-altitude skiing up to 2,600m. The transfer from Nice Airport is speedy, and flights are frequent. Isola is ideal for families and beginners who don’t want to lug ski kit around and have everything they need on their doorstep.

    • Book it for Easter: £399pp for a family of four, staying 4 nights self-catering (Sun 6th – Thurs 10th April 2025) at Résidence mmv Les terrasses d’Isola – complete with a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub. Price includes return London Gatwick – Nice flights and private airport transfers.
