Boat Trip and ‘Nature Crowns’ Creation craft activity
3rd April 2024 and 10th April 2024
Explore, Create, and Discover the Wonders of Canal Wildlife. In this hands-on workshop, families will embark on a creative journey to craft their very own nature crowns to take home and wear. Alongside the craft workshop, families will take a trip on our canal boat and be inspired by wildlife and habitats spotted out on the water.
What’s included?
- A ride on our canal boat “Long Tom” that will take you from the museum to St. Pancras Lock and back again. Children will receive a wildlife spotter’s bag on the boat to inspire them to look closely for wildlife and help them identify what they may see.
- Entry to the museum to complete our fun and interactive family trail around the exhibitions, including our brand new ice cream role play parlour! Who will earn their sticker for completing the trail?
- A craft workshop led by our museum facilitators themed around wildlife. Make a fun crown to take home and keep!
- Note that children must be supervised by their accompanying adult at all times and cannot go on the boat alone.

If you are not going on the boat, normal admission charges apply – with great value Family Tickets available at only £15/£16* for 2 adults +3 children, or 1 adult +4 children. There is no need to book in advance, and the other activities will be available to all.

About the boat trips
Times: 10.15 11.15 12.15 13.00 14.00 15.00
Boat trips will take approximately half an hour. Every passenger needs a ticket including babies. We cannot carry additional people without tickets. The boat has a toilet but please use the facilities in the museum if possible.
