Don Julio 1942 and Rosewood London Present Hacienda 1942 winter terrace

This winter, Don Julio 1942 and Rosewood London invite you to experience a taste of Mexico in the heart of London. ‘Hacienda 1942’ offers a warm retreat where guests can enjoy cocktails featuring Don Julio 1942 tequila in a setting inspired by Mexican culture.

As the festive season approaches, Don Julio 1942, together with Rosewood London, is excited to launch an immersive terrace that will allow visitors to enjoy a taste of Mexican warmth amidst London’s winter. Running from 2nd November 2024 until 10th January 2025, ‘Hacienda 1942’ will provide a space where guests can unwind and enjoy premium tequila cocktails.

Located in Rosewood London’s courtyard, near Holborn, Hacienda 1942 features décor inspired by the agave fields of Jalisco. The space is designed to offer a relaxing atmosphere for both locals and visitors – bringing together Mexico’s vibrant heritage and imaginative flavours in a cosy, sophisticated setting.

The cocktail menu, created by Rosewood London’s mixology team, showcases the quality of Don Julio tequila and will include signature cocktails:

  • Sacred Wood (Don Julio 1942, Amontillado, Americano, Port wine, Angostura, Gingerbread, Palo Santo, Tonka tincture)
  • Hot Xocolatl (Don Julio 1942, Mexican chocolate, Whipping Cream, Cinnamon)

Other cocktails will include Lupita (Don Julio Blanco, Padron Peppers, Jalapeño, Cucumber) and La Capilla Spritz (Don Julio Reposado, Amaro Santoni, Peach and Grapefruit, Sparkling Wine), alongside a range of alcohol-free options. Don Julio 1942 will also be available neat or on the rocks for those who prefer to appreciate its flavours directly.

To complement the drinks, Fernando Corona Burch, Executive Chef of Rosewood London and a native of Mexico, has created a menu of Mexican-inspired dishes. Dishes include Green Seabass Ceviche, Baja Style Fish Tacos, and Grilled Pork Belly Tacos, each crafted to pair well with the flavours of Don Julio 1942.

An experiential, luxury dessert will also be available to order. Made for sharing, guests will need to crack open the sweet treat to reveal a splendid array of luxury petits fours, all inspired by the flavour profile of 1942 Tequila.

A Mexican hot chocolate cart will offer two versions of this traditional beverage. Guests can choose between a rich, spiced non-alcoholic serve, and an indulgent alcoholic version featuring Don Julio 1942. Both festive drinks will be served with cinnamon and whipping cream.

Adding to the ambiance, DJs will perform on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, providing a lively backdrop to the experience.

Hacienda 1942 is open from Saturday 2nd November 2024, onwards at Rosewood London, 252 High Holborn, London WC1V 7EN, from 12pm – 10pm, Monday to Sunday.

To celebrate Day of The Dead this year, from the opening date until 11th November, Hacienda 1942 will be dressed in an array of Day of The Dead decorations.
