    Yari Club, St Martin’s Lane’s yakitori restaurant, is offering women complimentary yakitori throughout the day. 

    “Yari Club are proud to step forward in solidarity for International Women’s Day to impact women’s advancement fairly. At the restaurant, we actively recruit, retain and develop diverse talent in our team and support women in leadership and decision-making roles. We look forward to raising awareness on March 8th through this small gesture.” Anne Anggreani, Yari Club.

    11.30am – 9.30pm
    Choice of three yakitori per person from the full menu:
    Momo (chicken thigh, tender, flavourful meat)
    Classic Negima (chicken thigh, spring onion, juicy, savoury)
    Tsukune (chicken meatball, savoury, sweet glaze)
    Kawa (chicken skin, juicy, rich taste)
    Chicken Karaage (deep-fred crispy marinated chicken)
    Gizzard (flavourful chicken gizzards)
    Toriniku (chicken thigh and breast, tender, versatile, juicy)
    Teba (chicken wings, crispy, flavourful skin)
    Prawn Теmpura (fried prawn, crispy, light batter)
    Tofu & Scallion (soft & sweet).
    To order 
    Customers must quote IWD before ordering and will be invited to join the social conversation using #AccelerateAction, IWD’s hashtag for 2025, no other purchase is required.
    Drinks are sides can be purchased separately and include Rice, Salad, Tempura (vegetable or oyster mushroom), Corn Ball, Broccoli with Nori Dressing, and Edamame. All day beverages will include a range of hot Japanese teas, such as Gyokuro White Tea (£3), Sencha Green Tea (£3), Matcha Latte (£3), Hojicha Black Tea (£3), and Blue Butterfly Pea Flower Blue Tea (£3). Until the end of March a winter special of Hot Spiced Sake (£5) will also be served.
    International Women’s Day falls around the same time as Hinamatsuri, an annual festival in Japan that celebrates the health and happiness of young girls. The word comes from hina, meaning hatchling, and matsuri, meaning festival. This symbolic Spring celebration takes place on March 3rd.

    Yari Club is walk-ins only, with a takeaway counter and 24 covers, providing a versatile and quick dining option for the St Martin’s Lane area. Also benefitting from being close to the the National Gallery.

    Interiors 
    The interior of Yari Club evokes the ambience of classic yakitori joints, with black bricks, stainless steel bars, and cherry wood-clad walls. Stools and hanging fabric banners complete the look. The aesthetic creates a cohesive, inviting atmosphere that pays homage to Japan’s vibrant modern street food culture.

    The UK’s first robotic yakitori machine
    Upon ordering, customers place an order with the Yari Club staff, who manually load skewers onto the machine’s grabbing arm. Diners can then watch the 1.5-meter-long robotic yakitori machine grasp their order, grill it, and dip it in the proprietary Yari Club sauce.

    “It is important for us to make it clear our robot is not replacing the role or job of a human. The robot is an alternative cooking method instead of an oven. We are proud to be the first to bring this fun machine to the UK to add a new dimension to the QSR choices in Central London”, say Yari Club.

    The Location

     Yari Club is conveniently located five minutes away from Leicester Square and Covent Garden Piazza and three minutes away from Charing Cross.

    About Yakitori
    Yakitori can be translated to from the Japanese words yaki (grill) and tori (chicken). Yakitori shops are usually small shops specialising in yakitori, taking the form of a compact shop offering take-out services with some seats.
