Celebrate the Summer of Sport in London

CELEBRATE THE ‘SUMMER OF SPORT’ AT BOROUGH YARDS WITH SCREENINGS, SHOPPING AND SMALL PLATES

  • Borough Yards will be screening the sporting action this summer from the beginning of Wimbledon in July until the end of the Olympics in August.
  • Soap Yard will be transformed with a screen and pop-ups by the various restaurants, bars and shops at Borough Yards.
  • The destination is home to renowned dining spots like Akara and Vinoteca, who will be offering small plates and cocktails during the period.

Borough Yards is hosting an outdoor screen for sports fans to watch this year’s summer of sport. The screen will livestream Wimbledon, from the 1st July and to the Paris Olympics, starting on 26th July and ending on 11th August, from 9am to 9pm every day.

The screens and outdoor seating can accommodate around 100 people sitting and standing and will be located at Soap Yard in Borough Yards, the relaxed open space under the railway viaduct which is home to the popular Everyman Cinema.

The space will also be transformed with pop-ups and offers by the restaurants, bars and shops in the area, including:

  • Shopping: Browse handmade jewellery by Linnet and La Lune London, sustainable skincare at Sknfed and malin + goetz, trendy glasses at Pop Specs, blend your own gin kits at Kitchen Provisions and premium sports merchandise at Lids
  • Food: Sample dishes and sweet treats by Mediterranean dining spot Brother Marcus, renowned West African restaurant Akara, modern wine bar and restaurant Vinoteca, gourmet finger doughnut cafe Longboys and vegan cookie specialists The After School Cookie Club
  • Click and collect offers at plant-focused salad bar atis and The After School Cookie Club

Borough Yards is a shopping, dining and cultural destination in the heart of London Bridge. As well as international restaurants, the destination hosts a year-long programme of events, from immersive and innovative art exhibitions. The destination recently opened its latest offering in Stonecutters Lane, a hub of independent artisan shops specialising in sustainable fashion, natural skincare and bespoke home decor.
