London is known for its wealth of culture and tourist attractions, but these usually come at a cost, so we would like to make sure that people are aware of the fun, budget-friendly activities taking place across the city this summer.

Here are some exciting activities that will be taking place around London to celebrate sport, culture and being outdoors this upcoming season – and they will not break the bank!

    Borough Yards

    1st July – 8th September 2024

Borough Yards will be screening the ‘Summer of Sport’ from the beginning of Wimbledon in July until the end of the Paralympics in September.

The ‘Soap Yard’ will be transformed with outdoor screens, seating and pop-ups by the various restaurants, bars and shops.

    Devonshire Square

    1st July – 12th August

Devonshire Square will be hosting a large screen in the courtyard, which will see a summer of colour and sport celebrations come to the City of London.

The newly landscaped central courtyard will broadcast highlights from Wimbledon and the Olympics, plus Devonshire Terrace will be running a pop-up bar, serving a selection of drinks, snacks and lunch hampers throughout the six-week period.

There will also be a pop-up urban offering by Square Mile Farms between the 25th – 24th July, which will be hosted in a DSQube Pop Up Art Studio promoting a healthier and sustainable lifestyle to visitors. This will include public workshops, food sampling of delicious recipes from herbs grown in the farm, activities to embrace the British summer – more information to come soon.

    Sugar House Island

    14th June – 11th August

Jim and Tonic East, Stratford’s urban distillery based at Sugar House Island will be hosting a ‘Summer of Sport’ on a big screen at the welcoming outdoor terrace.

Don’t miss a moment of the sporting action this summer with the 2024 Euros, Wimbledon and Olympics all being played live in the heart of East London’s beloved island.

Booking is advisable for England’s Euro fixtures – visit www.jimandtoniceast.com/whatson to secure your tiered seats. Prices start from £10 per person and includes one drink each.
