Banish those January blues and dust off your dancing shoes as Burns Night celebrations two-step their way to Leytonstone in East London. Ready to Gay Gordon your way into 2025? The beloved Deeney’s X Wee Movers Burns Night spectacular is back for its third toe-tapping year, and it’s already proving to be the hottest ticket in town.

With both family daytime sessions selling out within just 48 hours of release, eager celebrants are now turning their attention to the evening Burns Supper and Ceilidh.

In a twist that would make Rabbie Burns himself smile, this Highland hootenanny finds a new home at The Social (Leytonstone Ex-Servicemen’s Club), perfectly timed to coincide with the official Burns Night on Saturday 25th January 2025.

“We’re overwhelmed by the incredible response to our family Ceilidhs,” says Fiona Campbell, founder of Wee Movers. “Seeing tickets vanish within 48 hours shows just how much East London has embraced Scottish culture. Now we’re excited to welcome adults to our evening Burns Supper – it’s a completely different experience, where grown-ups can truly immerse themselves in all the traditional elements of Burns Night,  from Deeney’s famous Scottish feast, the ceremonial addressing of the haggis to dancing into the wee hours.”

The evening session promises a full traditional Burns Night experience, beginning at 7pm with a ceremonial three-course supper centred around the time-honoured dish of Haggis, Neeps and Tatties, expertly prepared by Deeney’s.

Guests will enjoy all the classic Burns Night traditions: the skirl of the bagpipes, the dramatic Address to the Haggis, and poetic tributes to Scotland’s beloved bard. A complimentary dram of whisky accompanies the toasts, before heading back to the dancefloor for more ceilidh dancing.

Newcomers to Scottish dancing need not worry – Stroma Band’s energetic folk music and friendly “caller” (dance instructor) will guide guests through each dance with clear instructions and demonstrations. No previous experience is necessary to enjoy this exciting social event of traditional Scottish dancing.

    Event Details:

    • Saturday, 25 January 2025; 7pm – midnight
    • Venue: The Social, 2 Harvey Rd, Bushwood, Leytonstone, London E11 3DB
    • Individual tickets: £60 per person
    • Tables of 10: £500 (save £100)

Whether you’re Scottish by birth, Scottish at heart, or just fancy trying something spectacularly different this January, there’s a Burns Night celebration waiting for you in Leytonstone. From tartan dancers to revellers raising a dram to Burns, this cherished collaboration between Wee Movers and Deeney’s promises to bring the spirit of Scotland to East London once again.

Tickets are available now at weemovers.co.uk – and if previous years are anything to go by, they’ll be flying faster than a Highland Fling! Don’t miss your chance to be part of this beloved East London tradition, now in its triumphant third year.
