Oasis tour 2027: London fans willing to travel hundreds of miles to see Liam Gallagher

Kia research reveals just how far music fans are prepared to travel as Oasis prepare to hit the road again

Oasis fans from London could be preparing to clock up the miles once again in 2027, with research suggesting Liam Gallagher’s supporters are willing to travel an average of 259 miles to see him perform.

Liam and Noel Gallagher are returning to the stage following the huge success of their 2025 reunion, with another run of major shows planned for 2027.

For Londoners, one of the most obvious destinations will be Knebworth, a location forever associated with Oasis after the band's legendary 1996 concerts there.

The return also gives fans another excuse to turn a concert into a road trip, with shows taking place in Manchester and Glasgow, as well as Slane Castle in Ireland and dates further afield.

Research from Kia, originally released ahead of Oasis's 2025 reunion, found that the average music fan was willing to travel 204 miles to see their favourite artist perform.

But Liam Gallagher fans were prepared to go even further.

They said they would travel an average of 259 miles to see the Oasis frontman – 55 miles further than the average music fan.

The research also highlighted Liam's enduring appeal across generations.

Nearly one in ten Gen Z respondents aged 16–24 named Liam as the artist they most wanted to see that year, while he also ranked highest among those aged 35–44, with 9.4 per cent choosing him.

Although the research was carried out ahead of the previous tour, it gives an interesting insight into just how far fans are willing to travel when their favourite artist hits the road.

And for many people, getting there is becoming part of the experience itself.

Nearly half of those surveyed – 48 per cent – said they considered the journey a large part of the overall concert experience, while more than a third – 35 per cent – said they loved travelling for a gig.

For London Oasis fans, that could mean piling into the car with friends, putting on an Oasis playlist and turning the journey into part of the event long before Liam and Noel walk onto the stage.

Knebworth and Beyond: Preparing for 2027

    Knebworth is particularly significant.

The Hertfordshire venue became part of British music history when Oasis played to around 250,000 people across two nights in August 1996, at the height of Britpop.

More than three decades later, another generation of fans will have the opportunity to make the journey.

Those prepared to travel further can also choose from dates in Manchester, Glasgow and Ireland, as well as international shows.

Fans still hoping to secure tickets should keep an eye on official updates, with Oasis saying the tour is sold out and authorised resale expected nearer the events through Ticketmaster and Twickets at the price originally paid.

For those lucky enough to already have tickets, sorting out transport, accommodation and the journey home will now become part of the countdown.

And if Kia's research is anything to go by, a few hundred miles isn't going to stop Oasis fans from being there.
