Shopify Live shopping just became easier and more trustworthy
Videowise launches AI Visibility, enabling LLMs like ChatGPT and Gemini to read, cite, and rank authentic customer videos from TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.

Shoppers are already asking ChatGPT, Google Gemini and Perplexity things like "What's the best waterproof speaker under £50?" or "Which running shoes are good for flat feet?" The problem is, most of the content that actually shows how products work – TikToks, Reels, honest customer reviews on video – is invisible to those AI models.
Videowise’s mission is to bring authentic customer and creator voices into AI‑driven discovery, without relying on AI‑generated fake UGC (user generated content).
Videowise, the video platform is used by more than 4,000 brands, has launched AI Visibility to fix that. After analysing around 5 million videos to understand how people talk about products on camera, the company built technology that turns customer and creator videos from TikTok, Instagram and on-site UGC (user generated content) into structured content that AI assistants can read, quote and link back to.
What changes for shoppers?
When they ask AI for advice, they start to see real customer video clips in the answer – not just brand descriptions and star ratings.
Instead of scrolling through pages of reviews, they get a short, clear summary pulled from many videos at once: "People say it runs small, but the battery life is excellent," with a link to the original clips.
Because AI is citing specific public videos, it's harder to hide behind fake or anonymous reviews. Shoppers can click through and watch the person who actually used the product.
With a more realistic view of fit, finish and real-world use, people are less likely to order the wrong thing and then return it – cutting returns, shipping emissions and the waste that fast fashion creates from over-ordering (the 'wardrobe syndrome') or when clothes are worn once and sent back. The new AEO and GEO suite turns TikTok, Instagram, and UGC videos into content ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google Gemini can cite. Launching exclusively for Shopify brands.
Videowise, announced AI Visibility, a suite built to make brand video content readable, citable, and rankable by large language models. The launch includes two products: Shopify AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and YouTube GEO (Generative Engine Optimization). Videowise has pioneered shoppable video for ecommerce since 2020. With AI Visibility, it is opening the next frontier: authentic video content from brands selling online that AI engines can finally see.
Shoppers increasingly start with AI answers instead of search results. The most persuasive brand content, short-form video on TikTok and Instagram, creator reviews, and user generated content (UGC), is mostly invisible to AI engines. AI Visibility closes that gap. Videowise extracts and analyzes both audio and image, frame by frame, using vector video search, and turns every video into content AI engines can read, cite, and rank.
Turning Social Video into Structured AI Knowledge
With Shopify AEO, Videowise builds a UGC Wiki on the brand's own store: an authentic generated content wiki made of questions, answers, and wiki pages drawn from real customer and creator videos, each backed by a video citation linking to the original post. At a time when AI-generated fake UGC is flooding the internet, Videowise takes the opposite position. AGC, authentic generated content, is the voice of real people, and every piece of it is aligned with the brand's SEO and AI visibility strategy. Through social listening, brands can also cite positive third-party videos that mention them, with attribution and links back to the original creators.
With YouTube generative engine optimization, GEO, Videowise creates hyper-optimized YouTube videos and LLM-ready metadata from a brand's existing content: Shorts, long-form videos stitched from related clips, plus titles, descriptions, hashtags, and chapters engineered to earn prime citations in AI answers, all aligned with the brand's visibility strategy. YouTube is one of the most cited sources in AI answers. Brands connect their channel, approve, and Videowise handles the rest.
The suite runs on Videowise's proprietary AI-powered scoring algorithm, built on a database of more than 5,000,000 videos, which rates each video on how well LLMs can interpret it. Brands can filter negative keywords so unwanted content never surfaces.
Driving Revenue and Upstream Discovery
"DTC brands are sitting on hundreds, sometimes thousands, of UGC videos that are completely invisible to LLMs," said Claudiu Cioba, founder and CEO of Videowise. "All those real voices, and AI can't hear a single one. We built AI Visibility to change that. Not with AI-generated fake UGC, but with real people and real videos. A brand defines its SEO strategy once, and we output both the on-site UGC Wiki and the YouTube presence. It is the work of a video editor and an SEO specialist, automated."
Videowise AI Visibility launches exclusively for Shopify brands and is already in use by brands like David Protein, Skullcandy, and hundreds more.
The launch extends what Videowise already does best: turning video into revenue. As a conversion rate optimization engine, Videowise drives 5-35% conversion uplift for DTC brands. Skullcandy saw a 7.9% increase in revenue per session using UGC with Videowise. AI Visibility takes that same authentic content upstream, to the moment shoppers ask AI what to buy.
Videowise pioneered shoppable video. With AI Visibility, it is inventing the next category: making authentic video content visible to LLMs.
