Chaos app raises £1 million to build the first operating system for music

CHAOS app (CHAOS), a unified space for music creators to collaborate, communicate and create, has announced a £1 million pre-seed fundraise led by Bridford Group, with participation from leading international music distribution company Amuse and a group of investors and high profile operators across the global music industry.
Built to be the home for the creative process, CHAOS brings communication, files, feedback, sharing and lossless live writing rooms together in one seamless space, making it easier than ever for creators to work together. At its core is a first-of-its-kind provenance layer that fingerprints contributions and preserves a record of the creative process, ensuring creators have full visibility and control over their work, with every contribution recognised and attributed.
This investment round will enable CHAOS to expand on its offering focusing on advanced collaboration and deepening the ecosystem infrastructure. It will support in advancing intelligence into the infrastructure surrounding the creator, help organise information, understand projects and automate repetitive work while leaving the act of making music in human hands.
CHAOS plans on accelerating its expansion across the UK and the US ahead of its public launch on October 29, 2026.
Ruhan Verma founded CHAOS to solve a lifelong frustration, a self taught musician and producer, he spent years watching creative work get fragmented across endless messaging threads, disconnected files and siloed software, making collaboration cumbersome and attributions an uphill battle. CHAOS allows the entire creative process to live in one place with clear attribution - this way artists can move faster, collaborate instantly, and build real momentum.
Since Verma founded CHAOS 18 months ago, it has grown from a solo project into a hybrid UK/US operation with a waitlist exceeding 15,000 creators. While music is the initial focus, the platform is now rebuilding CHAOS around collaboration as its core primitive ahead of its wider launch. Music is the starting point, but the long-term thesis is broader.
The company has also opened its new London office, complete with an in-house recording studio for artists and producers. Its six-person team spans London and New York, with every member a musician or producer in their own right, bringing firsthand experience of the creative process to the product they’re building.
Streamlining the creative process with automated provenance
Ruhan Verma, Founder of CHAOS said: “I started producing music when I was 13, and over the years I’ve been lucky enough to work with some incredible artists and producers. So much effort that goes into the creative process gets lost purely because of disconnected tools and current creator tools felt outdated. This investment will support our growth and ambition to be the single source of truth in the industry, just like Notion is for businesses. There is an opportunity here to improve tools available to creators and build CHAOS, to replace music’s outdated and fragmented software. We are grateful to our investors and industry leaders backing our vision.”
All investors backing CHAOS, have a track record in the music industry and bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the business. Bridford Group invests its own capital in founder-led businesses with long term potential including music, technology, life sciences and sustainability space and Amuse contributes its industry leading insights as a data driven digital distribution service for independent musicians.
Amuse contributes its industry leading insights as a fast-growing, digital music distribution company, home to billion-streaming songs and independent artists and labels worldwide.
Commenting on their involvement, Bridford Group said: “Ruhan is the kind of founder we look to back at Bridford. He has lived the problem he’s solving, and in just 18 months he has taken CHAOS from a solo project to a team across London and New York with more than 15,000 creators waiting to get on the platform. He understands how artists and producers actually work, and he has a very clear vision. We are excited to be involved with CHAOS and back Ruhan as he builds the home for creative collaboration.”
Commenting on their involvement, Giorgio D’Ambrosio CEO of Amuse said: “Amuse exists to help the next generation of artists and labels release music and build careers, effortlessly and on their own terms. CHAOS shares that belief and adds something the industry increasingly needs: provenance. A clear record of every contribution will not only facilitate releasing and managing catalogs, but play an increasingly bigger role in which music gets heard, and we’re proud to back Ruhan and the CHAOS team building it.”
