Advania has been named Omdia Innovation Partner of the Year at Canalys Forum EMEA in Barcelona. Omdia's analysts singled out Advania’s unified approach to AI, early customer adoption and its continued investment in AI expertise and infrastructure.
They also named Advania as one of the first technology partners to bring sovereignty, governance, compliance and cost transparency together in a single solution that is already being rolled out to customers through Advania ALT.
What it means for UK organisations
Over the past year, Advania has acquired The AI Framework, Gompute and Evolv while investing in sovereign AI infrastructure. Together, these give it capabilities across the AI value chain.
Many UK businesses are moving from experimenting with AI to running it in live services and the questions they face are shifting to accommodate this. Access to powerful models is no longer the hard part, the harder questions are where their data is processed, how AI use is governed, how regulatory requirements are met, and how to make costs predictable.
Advania ALT (Advania AI Layer Technology) launched in the UK in response to that change, giving organisations access to leading commercial and open-source AI models through one governed environment. The strategy is not tied to any single model or provider, so customers can keep making the right technology choices as the market changes.
Chris O'Brien, UK CTO at Advania, said: "UK organisations have moved past asking whether to use AI. Now they're asking how to run it safely, keep control of their data and avoid getting locked into a technology choice that may not be right in a year's time. Omdia's recognition is independent validation that our approach answers those questions. With Advania ALT, our UK customers can use AI where it creates real value, keep sensitive data sovereign where it needs to be, and have experts beside them to take AI from strategy to live service. Winning this award less than two months after launch shows how quickly that need has become urgent."
Errol Norlum, Chief AI Officer at Advania Group, said: "We built Advania ALT around a clear belief: organisations shouldn't have to choose between accelerating AI and staying in control. This international recognition is external validation that the challenge we're solving, trusted, sovereign and governed AI at scale, resonates far beyond one market."
The Omdia Innovation Partner of the Year Award follows Advania's recognition as Canalys Channel Partner of the Year for EMEA in 2024.
