RepresentAsian: An Evening of Asian Talent returns to the West End

Following the success of last year’s West End concert, RepresentAsian: An Evening of Asian Talent will return to the Lyric Theatre on Monday 9th November 2026, celebrating some of the best Asian Musical Theatre performers in the country while introducing some exciting new emerging talent. Nadim Naaman and Roshani Abbey will be joining the already announced cast alongside Nina Wadia as host. The concert will once again raise vital funds to create scholarships for young Asian performers to train in the arts, in partnership with The Boury Academy.

Following last year’s concert, staged in collaboration with Conrad Ricamora, RepresentAsian continues its mission to celebrate the breadth of Asian talent in musical theatre while creating meaningful opportunities for the next generation. Championing greater access, diversity and inclusion within the industry, the concert brings established performers together with new talent, while raising funds to help widen access to professional arts training.

West End Stars and Emerging Performers

Nadim Naaman (The Phantom of the Opera, Rumi) and Roshani Abbey (Operation Mincemeat, Hamilton) are the latest additions to November’s line-up. They will be joined by three emerging performers of Asian heritage: Charlie Moscrop, Sameer Dhanjee and Shivaane Subash, 2026 graduates of Guildford School of Acting and the Royal Academy of Music, who will have the opportunity to perform for the first time on a West End stage.

Also joining the star-studded cast are Aspects of Love and Prince of Egypt star Soophia Foroughi; Hiba Elchikhe, whose credits include Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and Titanique; Zheng Xi Yong, best known for Your Lie in April and the recent revival of American Psycho; and Mia Kobayashi, whose credits include Your Lie in April, 42nd Street and A Chorus Line.

The evening will be hosted by EastEnders icon and Now That’s What I Call A Musical star Nina Wadia and presented in partnership with Dishoom.

Funding Scholarships for the Next Generation

Following the success of last year’s fundraising concert, the first RepresentAsian Scholarship has now been awarded, funded by profits from the event. The scholarship provides its recipient, Anya, with the opportunity to train at The Boury Academy. Anya comments: “When I got the call telling me I was the first RepresentAsian scholar, I was buzzing with joy, pride and excitement. I can't wait to see what comes next! And I am so thankful to RepresentAsian for choosing me. This is definitely the start of something new!”

Ben Armstrong and Aixa Amarante said: “Following an incredible debut in the West End last year, we are thrilled that Nimax have asked us back to the Lyric Theatre for our next instalment of RepresentAsian. This upcoming concert marks our eighth iteration of the show, and you can guarantee we will be showcasing more outstanding talent from the Asian diaspora, featuring West End leading players, and emerging talent. The creative team includes Ben Armstrong (Founder and Casting Director), with designs by Tom Mann for Ghostlight Productions. Alex Kais for House of Kais is Head of Brands and Partnerships, with further creative team members to be announced.
