Port Wine at IVDP Tasting Seminars in London

Wine professionals, wine lovers and anyone looking to discover more about Port are invited to taste, learn and explore the many faces of Port Wine at a series of tasting seminars in London, Birmingham and Edinburgh this October. No previous knowledge of Port is required - just curiosity.

The Instituto dos Vinhos do Douro e do Porto (IVDP) is bringing its expertise in Port wine to three UK cities from 26 to 28 October 2026, with 90-minute seminars combining expert-led tasting and food pairings.

Guests will taste six Port Wines and discover the distinctive character of each style. Each wine will be served with a carefully selected food pairing, illustrating the versatility of Port beyond the traditional end-of-meal occasion.

The sessions will be led by Manuel Lima, Head of the Tasting Chamber at the IVDP, offering participants the opportunity to deepen their understanding of Port through guided tasting and practical insights into its different styles and gastronomic potential.
