Inside Europe's Biggest Bridal Shop: New WED2B Store Opens in London

Europe’s largest bridal retailer wed2b has now opened the UK's first wedding dress megastore at Royal Victoria Dock, a stone's throw from Excel London.

The 10,000 square-ft store holds 1,500 wedding dresses that can be tried and taken home on the same day, and features the first-ever virtual try-on service. With prices starting from £599 - £1199, wed2b continues to make wedding dress shopping accessible for all.

The Scale of the Royal Victoria Dock Megastore

The scale of the store has inspired some suitably big numbers:

• If wed2b’s 1,500 wedding dresses were stacked together they would reach more than 2km high – around seven times the height of The Shard and three times the height of Ben Nevis.

• Laid end-to-end, 1,500 wedding veils would stretch almost twice the length of the runway at London City Airport.

• The fabric in 1,500 wedding dresses would be enough to wrap around the London Eye more than 20 times.

• Dressing 1,500 brides one by one would take approximately 10.5 days.

Street Celebrations and Drop-In Bridal Shopping

To mark the occasion, a mass of brides took to some of London’s most recognisable landmarks last week, turning heads as they travelled on the London Cable Car and DLR and posed on the capital’s iconic bridges, before coming together to celebrate at the new Megastore.

Londoners were treated to a joyful spectacle, with brides in full wedding gowns appearing in some of the city’s most unexpected places.

The Royal Victoria Dock Megastore is the latest chapter in wed2b’s growth as the UK’s largest bridal retailer, bringing its extensive range of wedding dresses to an even bigger format. wed2b is known for offering wedding dresses at accessible prices, in an inclusive range of dress sizes, with brides able to try on dresses in store and, where available, take their chosen dress away on the day.

The new Megastore is open daily, and unlike other wedding dress stores, appointments aren't required.
