Celebrity surgeon Anil Joshi has used a mathematical formula to predict who will be the next James Bond.
The result means the man with the golden ticket is actor Callum Turner—by a nose!
Mr. Joshi, alias "Dr. Q," cracked creator Ian Fleming's code by inputting the facial characteristics of previous Bonds, such as Daniel Craig, Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan, Roger Moore, George Lazenby, and Timothy Dalton.
The Fantastic Beasts star won with a score of 91.3 after a comparison of his mouth, jawline, nose, eyes, and ears.
The winning formula shows that a successful Bond's nose is the most important characteristic at 40%, followed by the jaw at 25%, the eyes at 20%, and the mouth at 15%.
New 007 producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman might need to take heed of this groundbreaking research before making their final decision, which is expected soon.
The man with the golden ratio, Joshi, who is President of the British Society of Facial Plastic Surgery, said:
“Fleming’s Bond is lean, hard, and slightly dangerous, but the nose does the heavy lifting.”
“Run through this model, Callum Turner tops the field at 91.3, ahead of Harris Dickinson at 88.3 and Paul Mescal at 86.5. Jack Lowden, the current favorite, scores a respectable 81.3.”
“Lowden may be one of the bookies' favorites, but the answer is always in the face. Fleming would definitely pick Turner’s face according to my research. I would assume Amazon MGM would not want to upset the legend’s instructions.”
“And we know already the Bond look that works best on the big screen.”
Fleming described 007 with a “longish straight nose,” firm jaw, level eyes, and a wide, finely drawn mouth.
Mr. Joshi has used mathematical models to perfect his scalpel work on some of the world's most famous faces for two decades.
