MUTO is bringing together a team of 20 runners for the 2027 London Marathon, aiming to raise more than £100,000 for the NSPCC. Four of the 20 places are open for members of the public to apply for, offering a route in for anyone who missed a general ballot place.
Partnering with The Movement Blueprint, the campaign goes well beyond branded t-shirts and water bottles. Every runner receives a complete 16-week running and strength programme, plus expert nutrition, recovery and performance support, and direct, personalised coaching throughout their marathon build.
Throughout the campaign, each runner will also be supported with a monthly supply of MUTO's NAD+ Cellular Complex and its new Ultrapure Micronised Creatine Monohydrate, launching in October.
The team's nutrition support is led by Dr James Morehen, a member of MUTO's Scientific Advisory Board, who brings performance nutrition expertise from the England Rugby Senior Men’s Team and boxing clients including WBO champions Adam Azim and Chris Billam Smith.
The campaign will include bi-weekly group training runs in London from January, six fundraising events, and race-day activity including an NSPCC x MUTO cheer zone.
Dr Richie Barclay, Founder and CEO of MUTO, said: “Bringing our community together to take on one of the most iconic sporting events in the world is something that excites me tremendously. The London Marathon is a moment when the entire nation comes together - supporting everyone from first-time runners to elite, world-record-breaking athletes. To support the NSPCC during that moment is something we'll remember for a lifetime.
He added: “For me, success comes down to the impact we can have for the NSPCC. We're aiming to raise over £100,000 to support children in need, while raising awareness of the challenges so many children face, and the difference this charity makes in their lives."
Sophie Garrett, Associate Head of Fundraising, at the NSPCC, commented: “We're hugely grateful to MUTO for choosing to support the NSPCC, and for setting such an ambitious target of £100,000. The London Marathon is a special day for us every year, and we’re always honoured that people commit to taking on such an iconic and challenging run to help raise money for our vital work.
"We'll be right behind Team MUTO throughout the whole journey, every training run, each milestone achieved and on the race day itself. The funds raised by Team MUTO’s 20 runners will help us be there for children and young people when they need us most, and we can't wait to cheer those taking part in April across the finish line."
Harvey Lawton, Founder and Head Coach at The Movement Blueprint, concluded: “We’re hugely excited to partner with MUTO on this campaign. We’ve spent years helping athletes push the boundaries of what they believe they’re capable of, and now we get to bring that experience to 20 individuals with 20 very different journeys to the London Marathon. Our goal is to give every runner the structure, support and confidence to achieve more than they thought possible next April, while collectively helping to raise vital funds for the NSPCC.”
Applications for the four public places open on 14 September 2026 and close on 28 September 2026, at muto.co/pages/marathon.
