    UK Health Radio Awards 2026

Forget Hollywood stars and red carpets, this awards season, the spotlight is on the people helping people around the world live healthier, happier lives.

The UK Health Radio Awards 2026 invite listeners around the world to vote for the individuals, charities, businesses and innovators who are changing lives through health and wellbeing.

Hosted by UK Health Radio, which shares health information, expert advice and inspiring stories freely across the airwaves, the awards give these contributions the recognition they deserve.

From mental health champions and dementia support organisations to pioneering health technology, inspiring authors and radio presenters, the awards celebrate the often unsung heroes who make a difference to so many people every day.

More than 136,000 votes were cast by listeners worldwide last year, and UK Health Radio is hoping to break that record in 2026.

At a time when health advice can be found everywhere and anywhere, including through AI, knowing what to believe and who to turn to isn't always easy. Access to clear, credible health information has never been more important, helping people better understand their health, ask the right questions and make informed choices about their wellbeing.

The awards also recognise the people and organisations working to make that information more accessible, challenge stigma, open up difficult conversations and ensure that health and wellbeing aren't subjects reserved for the privileged few.

Celebrating unsung heroes of health and wellbeing

For Johann Ilgenfritz, Founder and CEO of UK Health Radio, the awards reflect a belief at the heart of the station: "Good health is more than just the absence of illness; it encompasses overall physical, mental, and social well-being. Access to the highest standard of health is a basic right for all humans, regardless of race, religion, politics, or economic status."

The awards bring that philosophy to life, recognising that improving health isn't just about medical breakthroughs. It's also about compassion, education, innovation and the people who give others hope, information and support when they need it most.

And unlike the Oscars, you don't need an invitation to have your say.

With voting open until 1 November 2026 and the winners announced in mid-November, now is the time to celebrate those making a difference by visiting UK Health Radio Awards
