The British family business marks a decade of flavour, 10 Great Taste Awards and a special birthday giveaway

Popcorn Shed is officially popping into double digits this September as the British family business celebrates its 10th birthday.

What began as a kernel of an idea in 2016 has grown into a much loved gourmet popcorn brand with more than 30 flavours, colourful gift collections and an impressive 10 Great Taste Awards earned over 10 flavour filled years.

Popcorn Shed was founded by cousins Laura and Sam, whose early experiments began in a family kitchen with plenty of enthusiasm, countless batches of popcorn and one sacrificed popcorn machine.

As the popcorn began taking over the house, the excess stock was moved into the family garden shed. That little shed eventually inspired the name Popcorn Shed, and a delicious new business was born.

The brand officially launched in September 2016 with just three flavours. Since then, the collection has grown to include gourmet Sheds, snack packs, gift tins, celebration bundles, DIY kits, festive treats and more than 30 sweet and savoury flavours.

From Salted Caramel and Berry-licious to Birthday Cake, Pecan Pie and Red Velvet, Popcorn Shed has built a reputation for creating bold, imaginative flavours and turning everyday snacking into something worth celebrating.

One of the brand’s proudest achievements is receiving 10 Great Taste Awards during its first 10 years. Its award winning flavours include customer favourites such as Salted Caramel and Berry-licious, demonstrating the creativity and quality that have remained at the heart of the business since the beginning.

“To be celebrating 10 years of Popcorn Shed feels incredibly special,” says cofounder Laura. “What started with a few kitchen experiments and a garden shed has grown into something we could only have dreamed of. We are so grateful for every order, recommendation, message and gift shared over the years. Our customers have been such an important part of the journey.”

A Birthday Collection Made for Celebrating

To mark the milestone, Popcorn Shed is shining a spotlight on its colourful Birthday Cake collection.

The range features vanilla cake caramel popcorn finished with white chocolate and birthday cake sprinkles. It includes the classic Birthday Cake Shed, individual snack packs, a reusable mini gift tin and celebration bundles designed for gifting, sharing, parties, office treats and special occasions.

With snack packs containing fewer than 120 calories, the collection also offers an easy way to add a little colour and flavour to party bags, birthday tables and celebrations of every size.

After all, it would not be a Popcorn Shed birthday without plenty of popcorn.

Win a Birthday Hamper Worth More Than £75

The celebrations also include a special birthday giveaway, giving one popcorn lover the chance to win a hamper worth more than £75.

The prize is packed with Popcorn Shed favourites, including Birthday Cake and Classic Caramel Sheds, a Birthday Cake Mini Gift Tin, Birthday Cake Snack Packs, Milk Chocolate and Dark Chocolate Popcorn Nuggets, plus the new DIY Rainbow Popcorn Colouring Kit.

To enter, customers simply need to place an order through the Popcorn Shed website and be subscribed to the brand’s emails. The competition closes on 24 September 2026, with the winner chosen at random on 25 September.
