Olive Oil sales up EIGHTY PERCENT following Government stockpile announcement!

The Government recommendation encouraging households to stock up on essential food and water supplies, has given a massive boost to Italian Olive Oil favourite Filippo Berio – the brand leader in the UK.

Walter Zanre MD UK says there has been a significant uplift in sales of Filippo Berio products, particularly Olive Oil.

He says: “One retailer contacted us to order additional stock, reporting an 80% increase in Filippo Berio sales. It is obviously great sales news for us, but we must apologise for any temporary availability issues caused by this exceptional demand which I must admit has taken us a little by surprise!”

The news comes in the week Filippo Berio Branded Electric Trucks hit London for the first time in partnership with Lenhams, the Filippo Berio logistics partner.

The fully electric truck took to the streets of London with UK MD Walter Zanre proudly making the first deliveries.

Walter says: “Lenhams have very generously allowed us to brand the truck entirely in Filippo Berio livery, which is a real honour and a fantastic opportunity to showcase our brand on the streets of London”.

The vehicles cost more than £450 000 and will deliver all Filippo Berio products from Pesto to Pasta Sauces, and from Olive Oil to Balsamic vinegars to retailers across the capital.
