Sandwich lovers, take note. Emmi Melts has teamed up with East London’s cult sandwich shop Rogue Sarnies to bring a seriously indulgent twist to autumn and Christmas comfort food, with the first of two limited-edition creations launching today, 22 October.
Celebrating the rich, creamy melt of Swiss Raclette cheese, the collaboration sees the two brands join forces to create two seasonal sandwiches packed with slow-cooked meats, bold flavours and plenty of melted cheese. Available at Rogue Sarnies from October through December 2026, the limited-edition menu promises to elevate the humble sarnie into something seriously special.
First up: The Festive Giuseppe
Launching today, 22nd October, The Festive Giuseppe is a festive take on Rogue Sarnies’ cult-favourite Shloppy Giuseppe, bringing together rich, slow-cooked British venison and the unmistakable flavour of Emmi Melts Raclette.
The sandwich features six-hour slow-cooked venison bolognese, made with shallots, carrots, garlic, red wine and rich stock, layered with melted Raclette cheese. It’s finished with punchy cavolo nero salsa verde, chilli vinaigrette, pickled red onions and crispy shallots, all served in Rogue Sarnies’ signature freshly baked Wildfarmed sourdough.
Priced at £11.50 (£12.65 for delivery), it’s a seriously indulgent seasonal upgrade that brings together comforting, slow-cooked flavours with the creamy, slightly funky character of Alpine cheese.
Coming next: The Hocklette
Arriving on 22nd November, The Hocklette promises to bring even more festive flavour to the menu.
This hearty creation combines tender, slow-braised ham hock with melted Emmi Melts Raclette, golden triple-cooked new potatoes, homemade British piccalilli and fresh cucumber, all served in Rogue Sarnies’ signature freshly baked bread.
Priced at £13.50 (£14.85 for delivery), it’s a comforting combination of rich, savoury flavours, creamy melted cheese and a fresh, tangy finish - perfect for the run-up to Christmas.
A match made in melted-cheese heaven
The collaboration brings together Emmi’s Swiss cheesemaking heritage and Rogue Sarnies’ chef-led approach to sandwich-making, with both creations showcasing quality ingredients, proper cooking and bold seasonal flavours.
For Freddie Sheen, chef and co-founder of Rogue Sarnies, the pairing was a natural fit.
“This has honestly been one of the easiest collaborations to develop recipes for. At this time of year, the seasonal produce we have to hand lends itself so well to the rich, creamy, slightly funky Alpine flavour of Emmi Melts Raclette. It’s such a versatile cheese to cook with, and the way it melts makes it perfect for the indulgent, comforting sarnies we love creating at Rogue. It just screams Christmas, and we know our customers are going to absolutely love these sarnies.”
Bring the cheese home
For those looking to recreate the melted-cheese magic at home, the Emmi Melts range is also available at Tesco. Featuring Classic Raclette, Classic Fondue and Classic Swiss Cheese Dip, the range is made with quality Swiss cheese and contains no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
Whether you’re heading to Bethnal Green for a seriously good sandwich or bringing a little Alpine indulgence into your own kitchen, this collaboration is all about celebrating the comfort, flavour and versatility of melted cheese.
With The Festive Giuseppe launching today and The Hocklette following in November, there’s plenty to look forward to this season.
