Rise of Strength and Sculpt training with TRX & BXR

BXR London is partnering with TRX to launch a new training concept designed around an important shift in the way people exercise.

The rise of strength, mobility and sculpt-based workouts has resulted in the deprioritisation of cardiovascular training, meaning that gym-goers are more likely to miss out on the many benefits of cardio conditioning. BXR’s new Strength & Climb concept combines strength and cardio training for a well-rounded workout in a single class.

The class combines functional strength and mobility training using TRX equipment with an intensive 18-minute VersaClimber work block. The result is a well-balanced session that delivers full-body strength, stability, and low-impact cardiovascular conditioning.

    Balancing Strength and Cardiovascular Training

"People understand the importance of strength training more than ever, which is a positive development. But cardiovascular fitness remains fundamental to long-term health and performance. Strength & Climb is our way of bringing the two together in a format that feels efficient, accessible and relevant to how people want to train today," said Alex Nicholl, Co-founder of BXR London.

TRX’s VP of International Sales, Carl McCartney, agreed: "What matters most to us is the experience BXR members walk away with. That's exactly why this partnership works — BXR's trainers bring TRX-qualified expertise into every session, so members get the full benefit of the format from day one, not a watered-down version of it. When the coaching is right, the results follow."

    Pilot Launch at BXR Marylebone

The concept will be unveiled at a dedicated press event at BXR Marylebone in September, with separate sessions for press, influencers and BXR members.

TRX will provide equipment and programming support, alongside trainer education for the BXR team. Following the launch event, the format will be introduced as a pilot at BXR Marylebone, allowing BXR to assess member response before considering a wider rollout.

The event forms part of BXR’s continued development of intelligent training formats that combine strength, cardiovascular fitness, and long-term physical performance.
