WHAT

Money Talks by NatWest Thrive: a free two-day event for 16-17 year olds bringing together some of the biggest names in content creation, sport and youth culture for a weekend of live talks, interactive experiences and exclusive meet-and-greets, answering the questions teens are really asking about money, work and what's next.

Created by NatWest Thrive, NatWest's financial education programme, the event is designed to help 16-17-year-olds build confidence in their financial futures and curated in partnership with content creator, broadcaster and former Gogglebox star Joe Baggs.

Having turned his passion into a successful career, Joe is bringing together a line-up of creators, athletes and entrepreneurs who have done the same, to share the realities behind their success.

The line-up includes gaming creator NYK Chazza, who will join Joe in exploring how hobbies became careers, the challenges they've faced along the way and the lessons they've learned that don't always make it onto social media, giving 16-17-year-olds an honest view of what success really looks like behind the scenes.

They'll be joined by fashion stylist Alizé Demange, entrepreneurs Jake and Shae Unfiltered, and Team GB BMX and skateboarding stars Beth Shriever, Kieran Reilly and Lola Tambling, each bringing a different story of turning passion into possibility.

No jargon. No lectures. Just honest stories, useful advice and real-life lessons for 16-17-year-olds navigating money, work, ambition and what's next.

THE STORY

Young people today are redefining what earning looks like with 39% already making money from a passion or hobby. Entrepreneurship, side hustles and monetising passions are increasingly mainstream ambitions - yet much of what teenagers see online is curated success, not honest reality.

Money Talks by NatWest Thrive brings those conversations into the real world, giving young people the chance to hear directly from creators, athletes and entrepreneurs who have built careers around the things they love.

Rather than focusing on highlight reels and polished success stories, the event explores the realities behind success, from setbacks and first opportunities to the money lessons and decisions that helped shape each speaker's journey. Through live talks, interactive experiences and meet-and-greets, attendees will hear practical advice, relatable experiences and honest insights from people they've grown up watching, following and aspiring to be.
