The study, conducted by Northgate Vehicle Hire, reveals that South Mimms Services, located on the M25, is among the UK's best service stations, just a one-hour drive from London. Facilities include 13 food and drink outlets and more than 20 electric charging stations, supporting both quick stops and longer breaks.

Exeter is the UK’s best service station. Designed to cater to every type of traveler, from long-haul drivers to those looking for a refreshment on route, the service station is home to 36 electric vehicle charging points and 13 food and drink outlets, and what’s better is that parking is free for up to 2 hours.

Newport Pagnell Southbound, located on the M1 between junctions 14 and 15, ranks as the UK’s second-best service station. With plenty of green space to stretch your legs or your furry friends', the service station also boasts a variety of food and drink outlets to refuel.

Fleet Services ranks in third position. Located on the M3, Fleet service station is a popular choice for those heading to LEGOLAND Windsor. With 26 rapid charging points and 16 food and drink outlets, Fleet Services has partnered with the charity Electric Umbrella to include a bright yellow piano, giving visitors the chance to play and pause for a moment during their journey.

Wetherby Services and Cambridge Services also rank closely behind in fourth and fifth position, both high contenders in the race for the UK’s best service stations.
