DEAR READER: BRIDGERTON EFFECT CONTINUES TO WORK ITS MAGIC FOR BRITISH TOURISM

British tour company, Evan Evans, has reported an increase in demand for tours to Bridgerton filming locations

The exclusive tour company has seen increased searches for its Hampton Court Palace & Windsor Castle Private Tour and Stonehenge & Bath Private Tour

The results come after the third season of Bridgerton aired last month, with Hampton Court Palace and Bath key locations in the series

British tour company Evan Evans has revealed it has seen searches for of its Hampton Court Palace private tour soar by 23%1 and the Stonehenge & Bath Private Tour increase by 44%2 compared to this time last year, and a 72%3 increase in private tours taken. They believe the increased demand could be down to the popularity of the Netflix smash hit series Bridgerton, with the launch of the third season this summer and both Hampton Court Palace and Bath used as backdrops in the show.

Season three of Bridgerton has joined the list of Netflix’s most popular titles of all time, with over 91 million views since the launch in May4.  With the series estimated to have given a £275m boost to the UK economy over the past five years5, the ‘Bridgerton effect’ has seen fans flock to on-screen locations from the series, including Hampton Court Palace which features as the home of Queen Charlotte, the extravagant ruler of the Bridgerton ton.

The popular private chauffeured experience from Evan Evans allows guests to explore the grand palace, spanning 1390 rooms and 60 acres of historical land. With the chance to stand and admire the Great Hall, complete with its original tapestries, as well as discover its mystifying Hampton Court Maze, guests will be placed right at the centre of Bridgerton-era England.

Caroline Hagan, Private Chauffeur Sales Manager at Evan Evans, comments: ”Hampton Court Palace is one of the UK’s most beautiful and historic royal homes and it really is no wonder that it was chosen as such a key location in the filming of Bridgerton. Our Guides are often asked about the filming locations, and they can help guests enhance their experience, immersing them in the world and former residence of one of England’s most famous kings, Henry VIII, and his many wives, and pointing out key filming locations from the smash hit show.”

Fans looking to travel back into the Bridgerton era can embark on a luxury private chauffeured tour to Hampton Court Palace by visiting the website. With splendid buildings, world-famous gardens, priceless art collections and magnificent State Apartments, join for a day of discovery into Regency era England.

Evan Evans’ chauffeured experiences start at the heart of London, before boarding a luxury vehicle for a picturesque drive through the English countryside with the sightseeing company’s knowledgeable chauffeurs and guides. Hampton Court Palace & Windsor Castle Private Tours prices are available on the website.
