ACS International School Egham is celebrating a year of record-breaking academic success after seven of its students applied to study at Oxford and Cambridge University this September.

The seven students include Efe A, Sofia K, Charles B, Kaan Y, and AA.

The Surrey school is one of only two schools in the UK to offer all four IB programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP) and the Career-Related Programme (CP). Each programme enables students to study a wide breadth of subjects, and support students’ transition to higher education and the workplace.

Sofia K, who is hoping to study Medicine at Oxford, said: “As a medical school applicant, the school has played a crucial role in my preparation, offering supportive teachers who are always available to help, alongside invaluable practice interviews in both panel and MMI formats. Additionally, the university counsellors have thoroughly reviewed my application to ensure it is as strong as possible and reflects me as a student well.”

Kaan Y, who applied to attend Oxford to study Economics and Management, said: “The IB equipped me with the confidence, determination and real-world skills I would need to apply to Oxford Economics and Management.”

ACS Egham’s Head of School, Mark Wilson, said: “We are incredibly proud of our Oxbridge applicants. While we provide a forward-thinking, innovative education that is designed to get the very best out of our students and prepare them for the future, it is their hard work and dedication that makes it happen. Our University Counsellors also play a big part in achieving these positive outcomes, not just for our Oxbridge applicants, but for all students at ACS Egham. We cannot wait to see how our students progress throughout the year, and are confident that no matter what university they choose to attend, they will be engaging, enthusiastic and creative young people.”
