Tourism Malaysia is thrilled to announce the Malaysia Carnival 2024, a grand celebration of Malaysia’s Independence Day, set to take place on 31 August 2024 at the Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre in Brickendonbury, Hertfordshire. From 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, this event offers visitors of all ages and backgrounds an immersive experience into the richness of Malaysia’s cuisine and culture, alongside fun filled games.

An annual event initiated almost 20 years ago, this historic gathering has received thousands of visitors in the past. This year promises a new round of exciting activities as Malaysia celebrates it’s 67 Independence Day. High Commissioner Dato’ Zakri Jaafar remarked, “The Malaysia Carnival is a wonderful occasion to celebrate our heritage and showcase Malaysia’s vibrant and diverse culture. We are excited to welcome everyone to this spectacular event and to share our traditions and hospitality.”

With free entry, visitors are welcome to set up camp and enjoy the day’s summer spectacles. The carnival will feature a plethora of attractions including Cultural Performances: joget dance, dynamic silat martial arts and live music; Culinary Delights: food stalls will offer mouth-watering delicacies and authentic dishes including Satay, Nasi Lemak, Kuih, and more; Fashion and Arts: experience the colourful traditional attires of baju kebaya, baju kurung, batik of the performers and carnival goers. Visitors will also be delighted with the day’s music and entertainment, market place selling Malaysia goods, children’s activities such as face painting and traditional games, as well as exciting lucky draw prizes.

The Malaysia Carnival 2024 is more than just a celebration, it is an opportunity to experience the spirit of Malaysia right here in the UK. Admission to the carnival is free, and all are welcome to attend. Mark your calendars and bring your friends and family for a day of fun, festivities, and unforgettable memories.
