£2 million properties in De Beauvoir are flying off the market in hours as Londoners are discovering Hackney’s hidden gem.
Nathan Khider, owner of Nathan K Real Estate, has reported a sudden boom in interest for luxury homes in one of North London’s quieter areas.
The average property price in De Beauvoir Town is around £855,213, but it is the more expensive properties which are suddenly in high demand.
Nathan revealed: “Family homes in De Beauvoir are getting huge premiums and I have noticed a surge in demand for houses around the £2 million mark.
“Families are making offers at or above the asking price, and out-bidding each other in an attempt to secure their home.
“It is peaceful area with a friendly, community feel which definitely makes it popular for families who don’t want to move out of London.”
De Beauvoir is characterised by its tree-lined streets and Victorian architecture, which is typical for North London.
The property expert added: “Everything that was on the market for £2 million has been snatched up.
“One family sold their 4-bed home on Tottenham Road in a few days for £2 million and moved across the road to somewhere bigger for £2.1 million on Culford Road.
“The 1600-square-foot property on Tottenham Road has a garden, two large bathrooms and plenty of natural light, making it an ideal home for families.
“The 5-bed on Culford Road is slightly bigger, spanning 1,815 square feet, with elegant living spaces, a garden and even an annex.
“Another couple snapped up a townhouse for £2 million on Amwell Street within a week of it being on the market.
“The couple were upsizing from Camden and were attracted to the open plan kitchen, private studio, and beautiful garden.
“There are some incredible properties in the area, and it seems that everyone is now choosing De Beauvoir as the perfect place to upsize.”
