The Shake Salad has already been a sensation in Japan, where Marugame boasts over 800 stores and is renowned as the country’s number-one customer experience brand.
Launching on the 4th of June and available all summer long, the new Shake Salad menu promises to be a perfect way to beat the heat and is designed to help diners chill out and enjoy a refreshing lunch or dinner during the scorching summer days.
Shake Up Summer
The Shake Salad is a new way to noodle, combining the Japanese tradition of chilled summer noodles with the crisp elements of a salad. The flavours for the new menu are exclusive to the UK and diners can enjoy the Shake Salad featuring refreshing udon noodles, fresh salad, and a zesty Ponzu (Japanese citrus) dressing. Customers can personalise their Shake Salad by adding their choice of beef, chicken, or tofu, all for just £7.95.
All of Marugame’s udon noodles are made fresh in-house throughout the day, using just three simple ingredients: wheat, salt, and water; a traditional recipe which creates a chewier ‘mochi mochi’ texture associated with Sanuki-style thick udon noodles. This summer, Marugame pairs its ‘mochi mochi’ udon noodles with crisp salad and flavourful toppings to create a dish that can be enjoyed as a delicious and convenient light lunch, a balanced pre-or-post workout meal, or a joyful dinner during a summer evening.

Dine-In: For those dining in, step inside the hustle and bustle of the udon kitchen, choose a Shake Salad, and watch as the ingredients are theatrically tossed in a cocktail shaker and served directly to the guest over the counter.
