A short documentary based on the international bestseller book on Amazon, “The Boy from the Wild” is now available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.

35 years in the making, “The Boy from the Wild” film is a gripping tale of remarkable people fearlessly living out their ambitions with honesty, vigour and courage. It chronicles the adventures of author, actor and successful entrepreneur, Peter Meyer, as he grew up on a wild safari in South Africa set up by his late father to bring wildlife back out of captivity.

The moving and truly heartfelt documentary shares how the safari began and how Peter survived some incredible moments living in the wild, including enduring Rhino attacks, close encounters with Buffalo and Wildebeest – and the terror of twice being bitten by snakes.

The film was nominated for Hollywood First Time Filmmakers Showcase Awards 2020 and nominated at the Wildlife Conservation Film Festival 2020 and can be watched exclusively on Amazon Prime Video across all devices.

Peter Meyer said: “I am beyond excited to announce that my documentary, The Boy from the Wild, is now available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.

“The film means so much to me. It shows not only how I was lucky enough to live the adventures exploring nature that came with beauty, excitement and danger, but also the amazing lessons that I took from living amongst wild animals as a young boy.

“Ultimately, this documentary is a tribute to my beloved later father. It explains how he created the reserve and brought animals out of captivity from around the world back into the wild, as well as exploring the importance of conservation and the link between humans and wildlife that is not often talked about.

“The film gives an emotional feel as well as cinematic beauty of the location and the wildlife and I can’t wait for people to see it for themselves.”

As well as being an acclaimed author, actor and film producer, Peter Meyer is founder of Clapham Junction-based five-star photography studio, The Meyer Studios.

Peter Meyer is a South African/British Actor, Film Producer, Business Owner, and Author of the International Bestseller “The Boy from the Wild”.
